Yes biometrics for tomorrow. we did not want to attempt an early walk in because i read in many forums that our center is very strict with that. So we will just go on the scheduled time. Also, it was scheduled ridiculously fast so it is not an issue :).

I am looking at other threads for the status change. I certainly hope we receive the actual interview date email soon.

Hello there,

Congratulations on filing your package. I think we are all on the same boat so it is nice to have new comers. We can help each other out whenever possible. And the good think is that this is our VJ journey together :)

Good luck with everything :).

BTW things are moving rather fast. I noticed the same for the Jan filers of the past two years. So fingers crossed.

Awww, now I'm jealous. We filed on the 4th, have our biometrics this Thursday but didn't get any emails about interviews. I guess it varies by state. Congrats though! We'll probably be checking our email religiously now. ;)

What state are you in? I heard that it usually doesn't take too long here in chula vista. I know two people who had their green cards in hand 10 weeks after submission.... really hope I can join that club^^

We're in Illinois, close to Chicago. I'm guessing it's just luck of the draw.

Yes! my hubby (USC) got the text messages at 1.30am in the morning =_=. And woke up to see that the checks is in the process of being cashed. Good surprises because I have been checking the account rather obsessively @-@. I am hoping we will get the hardcopies of NOAs in the mail next week. I hope the letter comes to the right addresses because hubby and I currently live apart in different states due to work :(

I am actually a little unclear as to the process after we file the petitions. I know we should get the NOA1 (for I-130?) in the mail and then biometric appt letter followed by EAD/AP cards. After that, we should expect the NOA2 (approval for I-130) and then notice for interview?

Hello fellow January AOS filers! We are applying for AOS from a K1 visa (see timeline).

I see that some of you actually completed your biometrics before your scheduled appointments. How were you able to do that? Can you just drop in or did you call and reschedule your appointment to an earlier time in advance? My husband received his biometrics appointment letter for mid-Feb, I was wondering if we could try and go sooner.

Thanks

No you cant call, they will tell you to schedule a new one (for later) if you are unable to go to the currently scheduled one. Just stop by at the location either really early in the am or just before they close and ask if you can complete them then and there. Usually if nobody else is there and the place is not crowded they will let you do it :). Good Luck!

We have completed biometrics this morning. The appointment was at 9, we got there at 8:15 and there was a line of maybe 25 people so it was not so bad. We were done by 9ish.

Now hoping to receive the actual appointment notice soon since our case is already in the Testing and Interview stage.
