Well, no luck on our attempted walk-in. We got to the biometrics place at around 12:00pm and the receptionist told us they were fully reserved and that if we wanted a different time than what was on our letter we should reschedule it for later. Not the nicest person but oh well. Guess we have to wait two weeks and do it by the book.

You visited Chicago office, is that correct?

You received your Bio appointment letter quickly, that's good sign... I'm still waiting for mine. Good Luck

12 is not a good time. You would have to do it either in the morning just when they open, or just before they close... so around 3.30/3.40...

Day 05 - 01/07/2013 received text messages for all 4 forms

Day 06 - 01/08/2013 checks been cashed

Day 08 - 01/10/2013 received NOAs for all four forms

Day 12 - 01/14/2013 received appointment letter for biometrics on 02/01/2013 but completed biometrics the same day

Day 27 - 01/29/2013 received email that our case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview :)

Day 29 - 01/31/2013 received an email that our Interview will be on March 6 2013!!!!!!!!!

Day 33 - 02/04/2013 received hardcopy of interview letter

Day 62 - 03/05/2013 EAD/AP approved

Day 63 - 03/06/2013 scheduled interview appointment - APPROVED

Day 66 - 03/09/2013 I130 & I485 Approval noitces arrived in the mail

Day 70 - 03/13/2013 EAD/ AP combo card arrives in the mail

Day 71 - 03/14/2013 Greencard arrives yay!!!

Actually, the office we were assigned to is in Lombard.

01-05-2013 - Arrived at Chicago Lockbox at 11:27 am but no authorized recipient available. Notice left.

01-06-2013 - USCIS Received package at 10:08 pm

01-08-2013 - Received Acceptance texts and emails from USCIS at 10:46 pm

01-09-2013 - Checks cashed

The 31st of this month. And yeah, my wife isn't exactly shy and she's already saying we should try going there tomorrow morning when they open. Maybe we'll try and sneak a look in the window to see if the same receptionist is there. lol

yea stalk up that place :lol:

I would keep on trying until they let me do it ;). I would get there before they open... like 7.30 if they open at 8, and then just watch how many people walk up when they open the door at 8. If there is nobody then you are free to go :D

Woke up to great news this morning! Finally receive three emails that were sent at 1:00 a.m. that my case was accepted. Hoping for hard copy ad biometrices letters soon

Day (0) 2013-01-06 Submitted AOS documents (I485,I131,I765) already have approved I130 for F2a Visa Category

Day (12) 2013-01-18 Received texts with case numbers for all three submissions

Day (16) 2013-01-22 Received hard copies ---NOA 1

Day (33) 2013-02-08 Received Biometric letter for Feb. 25, 2013

Day (39) 2013-02-16 Early biometric completed

Day (59) 2013-03-06 Interview scheduled for April 10,2013

Day (61) 2013-03-08 received update: EAD card production

We finally received a biometrics appointment for Feb 4!! We may try to walk in today & see if they'll take my hubby. not sure if this location accepts walk-ins though.

Feb 4: 1st biometrics appointment- attempted 2 unsuccessful early walk-ins. 2nd time told that hubby needed an unexpired passport. Rescheduled biometrics

Mar 14: biometrics completed. EAD card production ordered same day

Mar 19: ready for interview scheduling

We finally received a biometrics appointment for Feb 4!! We may try to walk in today & see if they'll take my hubby. not sure if this location accepts walk-ins though.

Here in Chula Vista they told us that Walk-ins are always accepted as long as there is nobody there. If you try it, go there just before they close, that will be your best shot!

I hate this waiting... I am waiting for updates, but so far NOTHING! :(
