I read the story of greentrain who failed the interview twice and they think it is because they were married before. This is my second marriage, I got married 9 years ago in Romania and divorced 4 years later in the US while on an H1B visa and had no greencard application started at the time. So I have been divorced 6 years and this is my first AOS application and my first marriage to a US citizen. Should I be worried at the interview because I was married before?

Adjusting from B1/B2

Exactly 3 months from the day we got married till the day I had both SSN and GREENCARD in hand !

Day 1 01/22/2013 AOS package sent

Day 8 01/28/2013 NOA 1 received

Day 15 02/04/2013Biometrics appt letter for 2/25/2013

Day 16 02/05/2013 Succesful walk in biometrics 20 days early

Day 25 02/14/2013 USCIS status changed to Testing and Interview ready for interview scheduling

Day 31 02/20/2013 Email notification that my interview is scheduled for March 21st

Day 57 03/19/2013 EAD/AP card ordered

Day 59 03/21/2013 Interview at 10.30 am Seattle Approved

If your first marriage did not result in an AOS being filed, then I don't think you should be worried. People get married, divorced and married again all the time.

Also, i am curious about "greentrain"'s story. where did you read it?

You were right, we got the interview appointment letter today for Mar 12 in downtown San Diego

I was curious, did your online status change with the interview information prior to you receive the physical letter or did your status remain "ready for interview scheduling" but then you got the interview letter?

thanks,

Well, our process already hit a snag. I talked about it in detail here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/414269-adam-walsh-act-whats-this-about/

Hopefully this is something that can be fixed quickly and we can get on with getting an interview scheduled.
