I looked at your petition. This is a wonderful idea, but it is not detailed enough. And, there are some errors with it. They will not think about expediting it, but they can come up with better effective and efficient ways of doing AP and 221g.

We petition the Obama Administration to:

Speed up immigrant visa cases pending under Section 221(g) Document Submission at US Embassies after Visa Interview.

Currently Immigration Cases for Spouses of U.S. Citizens are pending under section 221(g) or Administrative Processing at U.S. Embassies/Consulates after the visa Interview. It takes months/years to have any of these cases resolved and families are painfully separated throughout this process. With this current system, there is no transparency as to what is happening with the case and why it is taking this long. I humbly request that you improve the quality of this system so that it may work efficiently. This can be done by investigating an individuals back ground at an earlier stage in the application process. Or, if problems are detected earlier enough, notify the U.S. Citizen or beneficiary so that they may assist with solving the issue, to cut down on wait time. Thank you for your time and I hope you will consider my petition.

Thank You

I like the revision suggestions especially stating that it could take years - that might grab more attention than months especially since the process documentation indicates that it could take about 2 months. I think the reality that people have to wait years, such as in our case (1 year and 3 months so far)to bring a spouse to the US might suggest a problem with available resources to handle the background checking which is a possible solution to improve the process. However, I did sign the petition as it now exists.

Staying strong and patient in love and faith!

Dear friends,

I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People,

a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your

name to mine? If this petition gets 25,000 signatures by February 01, 2013,

the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama

Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets

enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

You can view and sign the petition here:

http://wh.gov/UnOx

First milestone is getting 150 signatures, after that this petition will be made public and appear in search for outsiders to sign it.

Farooq the petition stays there for specific time and in that time you have to accomplish all signatures requirements, if not then the petition will not get any response and gets ineligible.
