Children discriminate all the time. They're actually more honest about it than adults are. That's the beauty about being a child. Chilren are socially engineered to shut the hell up though over time except when at home. A child will notice something different, will treat something as different. Curiosity in youth may make it seem like a child isn't discriminatory, but at the end of the day the individual still makes that decision on his/her own.

You're truly naive to the psychology of a developing human being if you really think hate is simply taught. It's far more than that and a lot more natural than many would like to admit.

Actually, there's quite a bit of domestic violence in homosexual relationships (amongst men and women) just as there are traditional ones.

Not true, kids will ask questions, but I have kids of my own and my sons didn't hate on kids lighter or darker than them. My sons are mixed(black, german) and their mother is Full blood German, I'm black and it was never an issue. In order to hate on that level, you have to be taught it.

Where are the stats for homosexual abuse? Not that I don't believe it, I just think in context it's higher when men and women are involved in hetro relations.

My daughter is 18 months old and has always been scared to death of old wrinkly white ladies. True story. If they get too close, she will cry hysterically. This is based on a sample size of two - my neighbor (she looks older than she is) and the nurse at the pediatricians office.

Like I said, noticing something different and treating people different aren't the same things. Children are more openly inquisitive, and they'll ask "Why are two women kissing?" out loud ... but depending on the parents' reaction to the question, they won't treat the two women poorly because of it.

You can think it's naive all you'd like, but hating gay people or hating black people isn't something that comes naturally.

so by your own assertion there, someone cannot love a black, Hispanic, Homosexual person etc.. unless they are taught to love them. They cannot naturally fall in love with someone that looks a certain way. They have to be taught to. People are taught to fear spiders, snakes, thunder, etc.. Is that it? I mean those fears aren't natural? The unknown or even the known to have a fear? There's no way that can be natural?

Please. Hate is as natural as any other human emotion out there. Some driven by fear or the uknown, and yes some driven by a societal boogy man.

People are just like any other animal on this planet. We feel more comfortable around those that look like us, act like us, etc. It's the way nature has always worked. Can people co-exist who look different? Of course they can, but you have to want to and even then some can only take so much.

I agree. I don't believe it's possible for someone to literally hate someone or something they have no understanding of. To discriminate against something they don't understand, simply out of fear, yes. But to go as far as hate, I don't believe it's possible.

Good to see the GOP is comfortable with clinging to the one demographic they have left - the white male. The women, the minorities, screw em! Clearly it worked very well for them in November and they're eager to do it all over again next election season. I can't wait.

Using the same logic that you use for gun control, (more is better), if we legalize violence against women, the problem should diminish.

If beating women was not only legal but encouraged, then maybe we'd have fewer of these senseless school/mall/college shootings. Less innocent victims would have to die if the women of this planet would just learn to take their punches as God intended.

I tend to agree. I used to take my anger out on inanimate objects such as my tv or pc, but that simply became to expensive a habit to continue. On the other hand having someone I could take my anger out on while she cooks me dinner in a short skirt and pumps, makes a lot of sense.

In some cases yes. I'll agree with you that it's gotten better with time. But we still have a ways to go, espically when things like Trayvon Martin still happen. Now people on this website and in life really believe that there was justification to it and they stick to their guns about it(no pun intened). And before now I couldn't fathom why they can't see it they way I do. One of my co-workers broke it down for me so simply. A couple of weeks ago when this was a hot topic Bad daddy asked why POTUS, Al Sharpton, and a few other in the spotlight Black Americans got involved. The answer is this, because if you are black, you could be Trayvon Martin, Jordan Davis, and countless others that have died for being the wrong skin color.

Think about it, most mass killing and shooting deaths are carried out by white males,(VA techa and DC sniper are two exceptions) but when will we ever profile white males? Never.

You are right-except, from my view if the martin case had been black on white, black on black, or white on white, then it would have been a blip on the screen. we would have waited on all the facts to come out, and it would not have been such a big deal.

Black Side- TM was a sweet little 13 year old angel that never bothered anyone, who was staying with his dad. He skipped to the store for candy and was blown away by a Klansman, with a long record for walking thru a white suburb, and the Grand Poo Boo Klansman, who is the police chief let him go.

White Version- God fearing super all American, who volunted his free time to keep his Community safe, and rescued little puppies from trees, was minding his own bussines, when attacked by 6'5 245 lb NFL specimen, meth head, who had kill whitey tattoed on his arm. While being beaten and on the verge of death, he miraculously pulled his weapon he carried as a last resort, and shot him, trying to only wing him and only to save his own life.

Both are parodies and extreme examples of a little bit of truth. The truth is both of them were in the wrong, and we need to sit back and let the court figure it out. Blacks IMHO need to do a little better job, Our President was wrong to insert himself in that problem as well as the Proffesor who got arrested problem. As you freely admitted he did it because they are black and he is black. Piss poor reason. That is racist.
