Hi everyone :) I am Steph. I met my husband online when we were 13 years old (he was in Nova Scotia, Canada, and I was in California) after 5 years of chatting on the computer and phone we met in person. He rode the bus 3 days to take me to my prom...I know swoon right? :) It has been a long road for us since then, him being banned from the states for 5 years for a miscommunication and us not understanding the immigration process fully. We were married in Canada, and I did the immigration process to come to Canada to live. I have been here for 9 years, and boy do I miss the California sunshine, and I am not a fan of snow at all. We have a daughter that is 7 years old and has only seen my family 4 times in her life. I have had to travel with her by myself for the most part. In 2010 when my sister passed away, I had to go alone because we hadn't paid the $500 for the visa for him to come with me. We are tired of being here where there is nothing for us. We intend on moving to AZ to live. We have consulted an attorney due to our complicated situation but he has made us confident that we can get through this even if it takes a bit longer. So here we go sending away the I-130 petition, which will probably result in needing a waiver. I am so glad to be here and get support from you all!
