I am a US Citizen and plan to marry my Brazilian Fiance shortly. We have been together for over 5 years and have plenty of documentation of our relationship. She currently resides in Brazil, and we plan to have our Ceremony Nov 2013, but just doing the official marriage paperwork Jan or Feb this year and submit the I-130 form to start the process.

A few questions:

1. What is the average length of time it takes for approval of the I-130?

2. Once approved, is the interview held in the applicants country or here in the US? If in US, does applicant travel on Travel Visa? Are there any restrictions on applicants travel back to Brazil that would prevent us from having our wedding ceremony and party in Nov with friends and family? For example, we submit our application in February, we get approved August, can she travel to US for interview in September 2013 and then back to Brazil for a wedding ceremony in Nov 2013? If interview is in Brazil, how long will she have to enter the US upon approval? Again, once she enters the US, is there any restrictions on her going back to Brazil for a wedding celebration in Nov 2013?

3. Please add any other tips or suggestions for people in our situation.

4. She we be going another route all together!?!?!

Many Thanks!
