For part a. 1 (my wife whom I'm sponsoring) , b. 1 myself and c. if you are currently married, enter 1- so that's 3 total- I know it says persons not sponsored...but then it doesn't specifically exclude my wife as the 1 I have to enter in line c. Maybe I'm confused here, but if I follow their contradictory (to me) instructions, I end up with a household of 3 when there are only 2 of us here. Please help!

the instructions clearly state that you can't add a person twice. when it requests to add spouse it's because you are filing or sponsoring someone else other than your wife. in that case you would add spouse as part of your household. in your case you are sponsoring your wife so she has already been counted

person you are sponsoring 1

yourself 1

total 2
