Congrats to everyone who was approved.

It has now been 227 days for me since my first NOA1.

I recently had another service request submitted for me and this was the reply:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 3 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided below.'

Has anyone received something like this?

It makes me worry, I don't want to potentially wait another 3 months or more.

And they have never sent me a request for evidence.

My timeline.

Married: 05/23/2012

Priority Date for I-130: 06/13/2012

I don't get how you were able to submit a service request. They wouldn't let me submit one. Seems to me anyone with a priority date of later than May 28, 2012 has to wait until processing times progress past their priority date.

But don't worry. I'm from Canada, have a priority date before yours, and I haven't been approved yet. Your app is for someone from Turkey (which sometimes causes delays), and your priority date is a week after mine. Just relax and wait. We'll be approved sooner or later. :) Good luck!!

Actually it was my second service request. I think it depends on the agent you talk to. Back in December, I got a lady on the phone who offered to do a service request for me after the 5 month mark ended, I didn't even have to ask for one. In January, I asked another agent about a service request and she told me she was not allowed to, but somehow a couple weeks later another agent offered to put in a service request for me. I think they all can do it, just some prefer not to.

Anyways, the service requests didn't do me any good, just received unhelpful emails.

That's really weird. You must have got lucky, because my wife has called in about 10 times and every time they told her that she must wait until the processing times exceed her priority date. Or else we are incredibly unlucky. Either way, I guess we're still in the same position, technically speaking (waiting for I-130 approval).

This is true. It seems to depend on the mood of the person who picks up the phone. Have you tried contacting your congressman about your case? We just did; we'll be sending in supporting documentation to them so they can intervene. It doesn't hurt to try though, right? At this point my husband & I are so tired of Vermont, we don't even want to HEAR the word V*******.

I have contacted our Senator and they were told that we are within standard processing times so there is nothing they can do. Please let me know if your congressman or woman was able to assist.

Just dropping in. I'm new to the forum, so I don't know how to create a signature or add a ticker. Help? In the meantime, here's my timeline thus far.

NOA 1: July 2, 2012

NOA 2: Still waiting

Is there any place else on visajourney where I should enter my NOA 1 date so it's added to a list along with other users?

Thanks in advance!
