That's an assumption. You know what happens when you assume, don't you?

You can't really call something an assumption when you base it on previous behavior. When I see the sun rise in the East 100 times in 100 days, I wouldn't call it assuming to think that the sun will rise in the East tomorrow.

Not sure about 50% might be a good start. Bring them all home. Pursue a defend America strategy. Stay out of other peoples business. If a terrorist attacks, then hunt down his home and make the whole neighborhood a smoking crater. They would;d stop quick.

Hate to agree with you but I do, not about the whole smoking crater thing(too much collateral damage for my taste)but they need to bring everyone back and stop with the deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. That's a better start, I know too many people that have done 3+ tours there and it's killing their family. If the war is over, then bring them home.

Yes.

Ccol. Next time I take a dose of Penicillin screw Alexander Fleming. I'm giving all the credit to Pfizer.

why would you give the credit to pfizer ... weren't you the one who took the penicillin

I took it, but I didn't come up with it. Maybe a bad analogy.

No, they expired FOREVER. There is a new piece of legislation that has passed Congress which permanently sets tax rates at lower levels than they have been at the beginning of the year.

But oddly the same as they were Dec 31. So did anyone in the country pay one dime in the new tax ?

Ok let me try this again. If the speed limit on the highway was 65 and that limit was set to expire after 10 years and then drop to 55. The speed limit dropped to 55 for 18 hours and then somone came along and said I'm making the speed limit 65 again. You would give the credit for the speed limit being 65 to the second guy?

Only if he was a left wing warrior. It does not work in reverse. Until today these were the much hated Bush Tax cuts. Now the are the new life for the middle class Obama plan.

It's ok to agree with me... :) Seriously the smoking crater thing... Going to war with a whole country over a few terrorist is absurd. Arresting a terrorist is just as absurd, it just makes them a martyr. Hit them where it hurts. They wil stop. If not a smoking crater start smoking family members.

So they expired for how long, 18 hours? And since taxes went up for 18 hours, the white house can claim that they cut taxes because our taxes were higher for that short period of time?

If that's the case, then I guess technically they cut taxes. I still don't see how any rational person can consider that anything but an extension of the cuts that were already there. That's like me paying 10 cents a minute to call Thailand for 10 years on a 10 year contract. Then when the 10 years is up they raise it to 20 cents a minute for 18 hours, and then put it back to 10 cents a minute, and tell me they just gave me a huge break on my calling rates. I don't think too many people would consider that a break. I know I wouldn't.

And your analogy would be even better, if the interstate was closed during that time period and not one drive was affected.

They are still expired. Obama left for Hawaii without signing the bill, and so far, has not indicated if and when he will do so,

The legislation will remain expired regardless of whether and when Obama signs the legislation that Congress passed yesterday. The tax rates originally passed under Bush are gone. For good. The Bush tax cuts are finally, positively dead. They were not extended a second time and expired at the end of the day on Dec 31, 2012.

Oddly the same what? Tax rates? Not really. None are the same right now. All taxes went up and that's where they still are. Now, it's reasonable to assume that the President will sign the new tax rates into law in the near future. Then some tax rates will be the same as they were on 12/31/12. And some will not be. Again, I am concerned about your level of misinformation.

CBO shot down Obama and your claiming either a tax cut or deficit reduction with this tax package. You may want to look that up. I would, but I don't have the time at the moment.
