Question I have for # 2 on i134

Well we move on and now to the next round of papers and questions lol.

I lived over seas on two different occasions residing in the Philippines. I arrived back in the USA August 23, 2011. How do I answer #2 which reads "I am _____ years of age and have resided in the United States since _________________"

Is this since birth or when I returned after living back in the Philippines for 18 months? I am thinking when I moved back to the states. Need help please.

I, myself, understood that question to refer the date you resided in the US on a permanent basis (whether from birth or immigrating). Moving to Philippines was temporary, and not a permanent basis, so I would put the the date since you were born (if you in fact were born in the US). There was a place on the 325A, where it asked you places you have resided for more than one year and also asked for addresses that you have lived. So, they will already have that information, that you lived in the Philippines on that particular document. That is why, I understand that question to referring the date you first resided in the US thru citizenship, birth or visa.
