hi Fionna,

My husband is Palestinian but never been there..he was born in Egypt and lived his childhood in Libya and came back to Egypt to go to University and do his studies..CO didn't ask for any other paperwork ,he said relationship looks good and kept his passport wich is a good thing to me and said we gonna go through AP!..1 to 2 months max..so hoping now it won't take more then 2 months..it's so hard to wait all that time for husband and wife to start a life and family..

My husband has been on AP 56 days tomorrow!!!!! I am hopefully of an answer soon too! We had a fast I-130 approval (under 90 days) and I wonder if maybe the fast approvals get looked at more with AP being more lengthy! My husband has a government job telecommunications and has traveled for umrah (religious purpose) to Saudi Arabia and has a master degree in telecommunications from what other have told me these 3 factors make them look more although I don't see or get why! But I do hope your case get out of AP ASAP I just had a friend get put of AP this past week after under 50 days AP! So I pray your case is fast too! Don't lose hope and trust all will be done soon and over!

Keep us in your prayers too plz! :-)

I believe there is instant AP for lots of countries located in that region. With all the ####### that's going on between the USA and that area, it's understandable why they want to check people out, but apparently they take their sweet a$$ time with it. It's unfair.

Telecommunications is a bad field to be in coming from that area. They are going to extra special about that because of the possibility of leaking information etc. I'm not saying that it will happen, but they look at it like everyone is a potential threat and they shouldn't.

I wish you all the best of luck and I'll pray for all of you.

Sorry, that's just Vermont.

Your 8 month wait for an I-130 approval has no bearing on the time it takes to get your visa back.

My husband is Palestinian as well. There was no problem with our paperwork or the relationship but he was also given AP and he was told it would take 1 to 2 months. Now we are nearing 8 months in AP. This is the hardest part of the process to me because there is absolutely nothing you can do.
