My questions are simple

1. why are some poeple being put on AP? i see alot of people from GHANA complain about being in AP for a year and much more longer and i never seen any nigerian say this

2. if they put you on AP do they inform you about it immediately? are there some issues where they tell you you were approved and that you should come pick up your visa only to find out you are in AP?

3. what are the main reasons for AP ?

Love stretches your heart and makes you BIG inside

You can be put into AP for numerous things, not just 1 specific reason. Examples can be: officer not convinced the relationship is genuine and wants to investigate more, maybe there has been some red flags along the way and want more evidence and/or documents, maybe there was a "hit" on the name for clearance (like a common name being in one of the computers for illegal activities before and want to make sure that it is not the applicant), maybe the officer can not make an absolute decision on the case and wishes to speak to their supervisor to get their input as well, maybe they feel that a second interview would be best in making a decision.

So, as you see, there can be a factor of things. Also, there are some embassies that mandate AP, because it has been revealed that there are high volumes of fraud committed in that particular country. So they are required to process more information, before a decision can be made.

Yes, you will generally know if you are in AP. Simply for the fact being, if the visa is easily approved, you will be informed that very day. If you aren't immediately approved, you are generally in AP (which they may ask you to provide more proof and documents or they may just tell you that they will review your case and inform you once a decision has been made).

Unless you are missing a document or other information they generally don't give you any details regarding your AP status. Why are they taking so long in countries like Ghana, Pakistan, and other countries with a notable Muslim presence - must be just a coincidence.

Staying strong and patient in love and faith!
