Hi Bibi & Beebti,

My case was untouched for 6 months and I called immediately after I reached the 6 months point, and I asked for a Tier 2 Representative ( I did pester them for 3 days, by calling everyday, and telling the initial person that picked up the phone that I was never connected to Tier 2, even though I was, until I got one of the 3 Tier 2s to do something). They sent my file to a local office and I went for a wasteful 5 mins interview with my husband. I got an approval letter right there and I-555 stamp (or something of that nature) on my passport.

So keep calling until someone is able to help. Good luck

Thanks for your reply. I got the generic letter stating that my residency was extended for one year, but 9 months on- I have yet to receive my card or any other communication. I know my biometrics failed twice, but they never contacted me back since.

How much longer should I wait before contacting them though (what is a Tier 2?) also might be traveling in December and worried about not receiving my card by then. Oh well, might just be a waiting game.

Honestly, I don’t know the difference in the Tiers.. when I complained to the person that picked up the phone that she couldn’t help me and she kept telling me to go for an info pass in San Antonio, when I live in Austin…. She then asked “Would you like to be connected to Tier 2? “ I asked sure if they would give me more info…. The Tier 2 seems to have more information on where things are…

I don’t know if they did anything but it did put my mind at ease knowing someone was looking for my case. I was moving to another state and was trying to avoid the headache of missing a shipped card.

Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to call. Why not give it a go.

Yesterday I received an USCIS letter, they told that I need to wait for an interview but they don't have a date yet.

I hate USCIS and their process time.ranting33va.gif

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

Hello every one just a heads up we recieved our Approval Letter dated 10/292013 and the Grenn Card on 11/06/13. No Interviews or RFS; however, took a little longer for some reason. rofl.gif

10/27/10: DS-3032 Emailed, no response.

10/28/10: Called NVC gave both Petitioners & Beneficiaries email and contact info

10/28/10: IIN Received, emailed DS-3032 using supervisor Sue, received response that agent can not be added at this time.

11/01/10: Emailed DS-3032 and have no response so far.

11/04/10: AOS Fee Invoiced and Paid. IV Fee Not Invoiced yet.

11/04/10: Re-emailed DS-3032.

11/04/10: Medical test given, if any issues will hear back or if its all good will be turned over to Emabassy.

we received our approval last Monday Dec 2nd.

We had received a RFE for more evidence. Someone needs to change the pin up for evidence as it says not to resubmit things already submitted as this is what we did and received a RFE. I ended up printing full bank statements, leases, car insurance, medical insurance, income tax transcripts. and put in order by year - in the same order for each year.

They told me in the letter utility bills not in both our names would be considered, and told us we needed to show much "together" debt like credit cards, loans etc. Which we do not believe in debt.

I sent in cover letter stating this fact and that we should not be required to rack up debt to prove we are a married couple. I took my time sending it back in - I returned it Sept 12, 2013 ( was like 3 days before deadline). We have wrong ratio age with me being older female and younger husband, as have had the full strokes BS the whole ordeal - including at POE.

So was very surprised when we got our approval without any interview, any more request for more evidence, or the case being shelved and having to haggle over it.

This is like a great burden being finally lifted :)

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.
