Hello!

For those of you who were recently approved and were prior to that checking every other day the USCIS website, have you noticed any "touch" before the big email saying that your case was approved?

Hi All , I am new to posting but not new to reading everything , on visajourney. I got my GC in July 2011. I got divorce in January 2013. I sent my I 751 on 01-04-2013 NOA 01-14-2013 fingerprint was for 02-11- 2013 but I went 02-07-2013....As I am reading I see that some people have already received their 10yrs card. The problem that I have, well not really a problem. is that my card will expire on July 17,2013, so what I was thinking January fliers has expired in April, so been mine will expire in July .I guess I might get my 10yrs in September. I stand corrected, two months after your card expire. I know with the USCIS it is on their time but as it is going. Can anyone shine some light on this for me please. Thanks and you can add me too.

Your NOA1 also serves as a one year extension for your 2 year GC. The first sentence of the I-797, notice of action states that your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year.

Just curious though, if you got your GC in July, you would not have been able to submit I-751 until 90 days before expiration or approximately April 17. Did that not create any issues?

For this round, we got everything, emails, texts and the USCIS site changed almost daily. When we did the I-129, my wife was here and it still was on the initial review.

We weren't even paying attention other than to look here occasionally for when approvals started occurring, and once again we seemed to be on the positive side of the timeline.

When you divorce you can file as soon as you get your decree.

Never received one text or e-mail even though we filed the form - G-??? (forgot the numbers). The status on uscis.gov still indicates initial review. But, we received the 10 year card yesterday - June 22, 2013 (on our daughter's first birthday). A great first birthday gift from the government for her daddy - 10 years of no more filing or forms. Unless, of course, he pursues citizenship! :)

K-1 Visa / I-129F

January 11, 2010 - I mailed K-1 Visa I-129F Petition Overnight Express Mail

February 25, 2010 - Notice date of NOA2 (read the e-mail notice on his birthday 2/26/2010)

May 12, 2010 - Interview - Approved!!!

May 25, 2010 - received Visa back in time to make May 26th Flight :)

June 9, 2010 - Married!!!

AOS:

November 1, 2010 - Sent AOS, EAD & AP to Chicago via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation

November 03, 2010 - Delivered 9:57 am, CHICAGO, IL 60603

November 10, 2010 - Received 3 e-mail & text message NOA1s from USCIS

November 12, 2010 - Received 3 NOA1s hardcopy in mail

November 19, 2010 - Received Biometrics appointment letter in mail

December 3, 2010 - AOS - I-485 transferred to CSC

December 13, 2010 - Biometrics Appointment - Milwaukee, WI - 10:00 a.m.

January 10, 2011 - AOS Touch - I-485 - Still in Initial Review

January 19, 2011 - Complete Congresswoman inquiry paperwork and deliver it to Congresswoman's office

January 20, 2011 - Received e-mail & text message saying status updated : USCIS says AOS approved & card production ordered.

January 21, 2011 - Received multiple e-mails/texts regarding updated statuses on both AOS & EAD, some confusing!

January 26, 2011 - Received Legal Permanent Resident card in mail.

ROC:

January 2013 - Filed ROC & Received approval in June 2013

N-400 / Naturalization:

2020 - Started Naturalization ppwk prior to COVID pandemic, and when we couldn't get passport photos at local AAA office - set it aside

March 2021 - Finishing Naturalization ppwk and filing ASAP

October 4, 2022 - ASAP turned into putzing and putting off...and finally filing on 10/4/22.

11/25/22 - Received notice of N-400 Interview on 1/5/23

1/5/23 - Naturalization Interview

2/9/23 - Naturlization Oath Ceremony

My case recently got approved ( I received an email and online case status). This said, my I-797 one year extension letter has my first initial and last name on it . I haven't yet received an approval letter in the mail.

I got a mail on June 17 saying I need to submit additional information:(

I mailed everything. They should have them last Friday June 21. Seems like I will have some delay.

just got a third email this morning, said that my new card has been mailed to the address on file, i hope that i will receive the new 10 years card as soon as possible . thinking about applying for citizenship now !!!!!!
