sorry i have a random question but u might know the answer, am still waiting for my GC to be aproved and sent to me.

my question is. once we have the GC, if i wanna go visit my family back in egypt, do i need any sort of stamp or visa or any thing? or i just hold my GC go back and forth with it and my passport and thats it.

sorry its not the topic but related to the GC and u guys might travil so u know the roles, thx

regarding your off-topic quesiton, yes, having a valid green card allows you to exit and enter the U.S. as long as your trip does not exceed 6 months. I think if you exceed 6 months but are still under 12 months you can also enter, but I've heard different answers about that. When you exit you don't get a passport stamp, but upon entry you will most likely be asked a couple of questions (where did you travel? for how long? why? who?) and get an "Admitted" stamp on your passport. Edit: Don't forget to maintain records of all your exit/entry dates, you will need those when/if you file for citizenship.

Just thought I would add that we sent our app to VSC in January also and just received email of approval and card production today. Sorry we didn't get our info added to the list but we're not very active on the site and just located this group a few weeks ago.

Good luck everyone. maybe VSC is hitting high gear!

Now to prepare for N-400 in January...

A few days ago I called to USCIS again about my appt biometriccray5ol.gif , at that time I wanted to talk with an IO level 2, I explained one more time my problem, and he was very friendly and helpful, and told me that he will put a new request about my case. I check my mailbox today and found a USCIS letter.


It says: "Our records indicate that we are in the process of scheduling your ASC appt associated with this case.

Your case is currently in suspense until you complete this process. You should receive a copy of the appt notice within 60-90 days..."


Well, for now I am not going to worry until that date.ClockWatch2.gif


Good luck for those are waiting approval.

I received a request for evidence today, all the evidences that they are asking for I already sent it in the package. when I set the package I only sent 2011 tax return, joint car insurance, joint medical insurance, joint back account( checking and saving), joint lease (last 2 joint agreement), photos. my wife picture is printed on my mastercard.

ATTN. Do you think I received a RFE because I only sent one tax return, even though we filed for ROC in January and filed my tax in March. please help.

I received a request for evidence today, all the evidences that they are asking for I already sent it in the package. when I set the package I only sent 2011 tax return, joint car insurance, joint medical insurance, joint back account( checking and saving), joint lease (last 2 joint agreement), photos. my wife picture is printed on my mastercard.

ATTN. Do you think I received a RFE because I only sent one tax return, even though we filed for ROC in January and filed my tax in March. please help.

thats really sucks, u have sent what is enoough, FYI, i am in ur same condition, sent the same stuff, still waiting and never heard back from them, hope they will never ask me for more evidence or any thing and just approve my case cuz i can not afford haseling with them.
