wow defintely INSANE does not begin to describe the issues you have had with mail delivery :wow:

Its a real shame that this is holding everything up. Normally regular postal mail is highly unreliable even in Guyana its the same thing. half the mails never reach. However, with Fedex and DHL its normally better so it is very suprising that you are going through this but I guess this is just another test that you must overcome.

Anyways you are doing the right thing moving foward and hopefully NVC gives you case complete otherwise you are going to visit soon and you can collect the documents yourself. Its really heart breaking reading about your long wait. hope things work out for you soon. good luck dwheels

LOL I know right. I consider myself the entertainment for VJ. When people think things have gone bad and can't get worst just read my story and watch them say "Thank you Lord at least I am not Dwheels". My job will be done than. And hey if I can get people to smile or LOL (I know you are out there. hehe) it is well. Cuz Baby when this is done and we have Visa boy oh boy Oprah may have to start her show back up.

I refuse to let the enemy get any victory out of my situation. Yes yesterday I had a good cry feast than a praise and than ice cream and moscato wine (My bad). Tomorrow I know I will get the right supervisor at NVC and receive favor and this package will be mailed out tomorrow.

Like my pastor always says to be blessed sometimes you have to look silly or totally ridiculous to the world. But to God its all good. So I don't mind. Let people think what they want. I know whats up. And God sure does. I refuse to adjust my attitude to anything but gratitude and faith and praise.

Delay but not denied

think I need a tattoo on that.

i have a friend returning back here tomorrow. But a few going in February. I am just waiting for my passport than I will get Visa. Trust me I will be in Nigeria by end of month beginning of next month if I have to get originals they will be delivered directly to my hands.

Thanks for the idea. So many do that and we know why. man Why oh why can't we all be Electronic processing. :)

Our consulate changed to electronic processing halfway through our NVC process, so I had all the originals sent to me in the US thinking that we had to send them to the NVC. After paying for and sending in the affidavit of support, NVC accepting it, they had to send back the entire I-864 package, made me scan it and email it back , scan all the original documents for the ds-260, send those via email and then I had to get the original AOS papers back to Jordan along with all the original documents for the IV application. I was less than happy to say the least, especially considering the fact that mail service is less than reliable in Jordan. Finally we decided that it was a good idea for me to be at the interview anyway, so I just brought them myself.

You have been through so much with this process, I wish I could remember the name of the manager I dealt with at the NVC so you could speak to him, he helped me out so many times when tier one humans had no clue what was going on. He would tell you exactly how to go about writing a letter and what to put in it. We had so many problems at that stage between the changing to electronic processing , they changed the IV fees and for some reason NVC couldn't spit out our new IV bill , we got an RFE because the NVC said they wanted the marriage certificate when they needed the marriage contract itself(which was what I originally sent), we sat there for months. I asked my husband if he remembers the name of the manager, we are both sitting here racking our brains trying to recall his name. I know I will wake up in the middle of the night when his name comes back to me. I'll PM with his name when I remember, he was beyond helpful and he always returned my calls if he wasn;t at his desk, he was the only one who was willing to help us. The only thing I remember is that he worked from 4 pm till 12 midnight. headbonk.gif

Okay here is the letter I wrote. Opinions anyone what do you think?

Subject: Letter of Explanation of Original missing Documents

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am DWheels the Petitioner and wife of DChase, the beneficiary. I am requesting permission to bring all required documents to the scheduled interview. Once you have read our dilemma you will understand we are in a most horrible situation.

Below I have listed what we have enclosed and what will be brought to interview.

1. 2 Passport-sized photographs- Enclosed

2. Certified marriage certificate – Enclosed

3. Completed and signed form DS-230, Part 1-Enclosed

4. Completed and unsigned form DS-230. Part 2- Enclosed

5. Photocopy of the biographic data page – Original will be presented at Interview

6. Certified birth certificate – Original will be presented at Interview

7. Original police certificate – Original will be presented at Interview

As you can see from my case there has been quite some time sitting there. First my case was misplaced at CSC after I received my I-797C Approval from USCIS for 30 days. My AOS was sent and accepted with no issues. However now we are at a standstill because of the IV BILL documents.

My husband first attempt to send me all the required documents on 9/10. He used the Nigerian postal service (big mistake). He thought he was being thrifty and saving some money. Well the 12 day guarantee arrival came and went. After much complaints and my husband going back to the post office on two occasions they admitted during all the rain that was happening the week he dropped off mail that much of the mail was lost or destroyed in flooding waters and could not be retrieved. We lost 6 weeks on that.

So my husband gathered again all the documents (it takes about 7 to 10 says to get everything). We heard so much about DHL so we tried that. That was 11/21. This time no mail again. That was attempt #2.

So on 12/21 my husband gathered all documents the third time and this time we used FedEx. I setup a FedEx account and it was sent from Abuja. For some reason the envelope sat for a week at the Nigerian customs and finally was sent 12/27. It arrived today 12/31. And to my horror all documents were removed replaced by 5 sheets of blank paper.

We have now tried 3 times to send the most sensitive of documents to me so I can than send to you at the NVC. Who knows what hands these documents are in. And you know that in the wrong hands in a country like Nigeria someone could very well be assuming my husband's identity. They have our marriage certificate, His birth certificate, His Police certificate, his biographical pages of his passport and all the personal information about me and him and his parents and mine on the DS-230. My social security number all my personal information where I live, his moms address everything. Very upsetting this is.

It worries me very much that these precious documents are out there and we are not even finished at the National Visa Center.

I am writing this letter to ask, no to beg that you will process our application and we will present at interview just like the K1 Visa couples get to present their originals at interview.

Please grant us this request so we can finally be complete and get to the embassy. We have already been at NVC 5 months.

Your consideration in this matter is much appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns on the above matter, please do not hesitate to contact me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX or the email address you have on file for me.

Sincerely,

DWheels

Very understanding n straightforward message....I'm sure with this allizwell...I wonder why all the commotions....God is with u

Deb, girl you are a beast. I give you much respect. You have given persistance and dedication a new name. I think the last reviewed letter was good. All you can do with NVC at this point is what you are doing now. A tattoo "delayed not denied" is a great idea.

Thank God for Favor. Supervisor from NVC called me today and I told of our saga and he said send what I have. And that really long as I have the DS-230 it should be okay. But they will make the decision when they receive. I will probably get a checklist but they may waive and let us present at interview.

I thank God for his promises and mercies towards me. I am happy cuz that door has been cracked a little. So tomorrow you know where I will be. To be delivered to Fedex Monday morning. YAY Baby.

(I'll keep you all posted.).:pop:

Grrrrr indeed. You would have been so proud. I had it all written down read it word for word. He even chuckled abit at the "Murphy's Law". He said "make sure you have a detailed letter explaining". I said oh I have a very well written letter for you". He said good.

He was a very nice person. So was happy. I asked if I can send attention to him he said he made a note so it will come directly to him. So glad he was real cool. And when he sees my extra evidence he will know I am for real. Hope he don't hate me for that.

I will keep you all posted. for sure. Here's to Case Complete within 2 weeks ya'll. Put Debbie and Chidi on your prayer list.(L)
