Dear Sir or Madam:

I am DWheels the Petitioner and wife of DChase, the beneficiary. I am requesting permission to bring all required documents to the scheduled interview. Once you have read our dilemma you will understand we are in a most horrible situation.

Below I have listed what we have enclosed and what will be brought to interview.

1. 2 Passport-sized photographs- Enclosed

2. Certified marriage certificate – Enclosed

3. Completed and signed form DS-230, Part 1-Enclosed

4. Completed and unsigned form DS-230. Part 2- Enclosed

5. Photocopy of the biographic data page – Original will be presented at Interview

6. Certified birth certificate – Original will be presented at Interview

7. Original police certificate – Original will be presented at Interview

As you can see from my case there has been quite some time sitting there. First my case was misplaced at CSC after I received my I-797C Approval from USCIS for 30 days. My AOS was sent and accepted with no issues. However now we are at a standstill because of the IV BILL documents.

My husband first attempt to send me all the required documents on 9/10. He used the Nigerian postal service (big mistake). He thought he was being thrifty and saving some money. The statement I lined out is an unnecessary statement Well the 12 day guarantee arrival came and went. After much complaints and my husband going back to the post office on two occasions they admitted during all the rain that was happening the week he dropped off mail that much of the mail was lost or destroyed in flooding waters and could not be retrieved. We lost 6 weeks on that.

So my husband gathered again all the documents (it takes about 7 to 10 says to get everything). We heard so much about DHL so we tried that. Explain what happened with DHL instead of making the vague statement I lined out. That was 11/21. This time no mail again. That was attempt #2.

So on 12/21 my husband gathered all documents the third time and this time we used FedEx. I setup a FedEx account and it was sent from Abuja. For some reason the envelope sat for a week at the Nigerian customs and finally was sent 12/27. It arrived today 12/31. And to my horror all documents were removed replaced by 5 sheets of blank paper.

We have now tried 3 times to send the most sensitive of documents to me so I can than send to you at the NVC. Who knows what hands these documents are in. And you know that in the wrong hands in a country like Nigeria someone could very well be assuming my husband's identity. They have our marriage certificate, His birth certificate, His Police certificate, his biographical pages of his passport and all the personal information about me and him and his parents and mine on the DS-230. My social security number all my personal information where I live, his moms address everything. Very upsetting this is.

It worries me very much that these precious documents are out there and we are not even finished at the National Visa Center.

I am writing this letter to ask, no to beg that you will process our application this file as is and we will present at interview just like the K1 Visa couples get to present their originals at interview. the original documents will be presented at the interview.

Please grant us this request so we can finally be complete and get to the embassy Consulate. We have already Our file has been at the NVC for 5 months.

Your consideration in this matter is much appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns on the above matter, please do not hesitate to contact me at (XXX) XXX-XXXX or the email address you have on file for me.

Sincerely,

DWheels

Subject: Request of Waiver for Original Civil Documents During IV Document Intake

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am DWheels the Petitioner and wife of DChase, the beneficiary. I am requesting a waiver of presenting original civil documents required by the DS-230 form during NVC document intake for an immigrant Visa ; and instead ask that my husband is allowed to bring all required documents to the scheduled interview at the IV Unit.

However now we are at a standstill because of the IV documents.

To date, we have made three attempts to send original civil documents out of Nigeria to my address in Houston, TX, to whit:

1. My husband first attempt to send me all the required documents on 9/10. He used the Nigerian postal service (big mistake). He thought he was being thrifty and saving some money. Well the 12 day guarantee arrival came and went. After much complaints and my husband going back to the post office on two occasions they admitted during all the rain that was happening the week he dropped off mail that much of the mail was lost or destroyed in flooding waters and could not be retrieved. We lost 6 weeks on that.

2. On the second attempt, my husband gathered again all the documents (it takes about 7 to 10 says to get everything). We heard so much about DHL so we tried that. That was 11/21. This time no mail again. That was attempt #2.

3. On the third attempt, on 12/21, my husband gathered all documents and sent them out via FedEx. I setup a FedEx account and it was sent from Abuja. For some reason the envelope sat for a week at the Nigerian customs and finally was sent 12/27. It arrived today 12/31. And to my horror all documents were removed and were replaced by 5 sheets of blank paper.

We have now attempted three times to send my husband's civil documents to me so I can than send to you at the NVC. We have been foiled three times. All of this is very upsetting.

It worries me very much that these precious documents are out there and we are not even finished with the document intake required for IV processing at the National Visa Center.

I am writing this letter to ask, no to beg that you will process my husband's IV application without these original civil documents and allow my husband to present his civil documents and DS-230 at the interview.

Please grant us this request so we can finally be granted a case complete at NVC and get to the embassy for a long awaited interview. Please waive the document requirement for NVC document intake and allow my husband to bring the original documents to the interview and expedite our case to get us an interview immediately. We have already been at NVC 5 months.

Your consideration in this matter is much appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns on the above matter, please do not hesitate to contact me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx or email me at email address here.

I don't really know what to think about this case as there is a lot of 'red flags' from your explanations, maybe i have not been following much on your discussions so far...It took FedEx just four days to deliver our documents (Marriage cert,Police cert,My Birth cert),we did electronic signature for DS-230 part 1 and we were favored by God at NVC and now have case completed .How would FedEx say they have just 5 blank papers(What did you do about this??)

As a Nigerian i may want to think, this is definitely spiritual....but again why should such documents be intercepted at FedEx without some explanation and if you tracked it,what part in transit was it delayed or scrutinized? Well, maybe if you can find answers to some of this as we all know this are world renowned courier services,i mean FedEx and DHL and if they cant deliver a simple package of documents...well

I'll be doing something for you and that is 'PRAY' that you may find solution to all this with a speed of light. You deserve better.

I must quote one of the members here who wrote this today on another post but its so fitting here.

LoveNigarmostyle said "Yes, one must be grateful for their accomplishments, if they made it through this visa journey smoothly. It is unnecessary to have disregard to those who are struggling. Just because one case sails smoothly through it is not an indication that other cases are fraud or scams or brought on by the petitioner or the beneficiary. It just is.....

I rejoice with your outcome. I continue to pray for those who are still in the journey. Take care"

And yes as FedEx always says they can investigate all they want but Nigerian Customs is a separate entity from them. They know of issues and problems. I wasn't charged (that was $100 I saved.

I know I have had mail taken out of FedEx envelope and received empty envelopes when I was living in Nigeria. It happens. Maybe not to you but I can give you 20 people I know personally it has happened to using all manner of mail services. It's life, It's Nigeria I will deal with it and come out with a testimony for the ages. Trust me on that one. If you choose to pray for me thanks much appreciated. God Bless you and your life.

Delayed but not denied.

Darnell you rock. The DHL piece I didn't go into the long explanation cuz its just too much to be believed. LOL I mean the stuff you see off of punked with a person taking the packages and the fees and giving out receipts to find out he wasn't even an employee. Like WTH. So I figured less was more in this case.

Okay this is all going out tomorrow with my massage 2nd front-loading. Hopefully they will see I am a serious person. Sta tuned, buckle up this is going to get interesting.

to the first person that answer the phone: I've got a documents problem on the IV set, please transfer me to a supervisor.

to the supervisor:

We've tried 3 times to get the civil documents out of Nigeria to me. Each time we've failed with some Murphy's law kicking in and destroying the documents after we handed them over for shipping.

Can you please waive the documents requirement for us, on the DS-230? I'm happy to send in a detailed letter with the DS-230 submittal, but we simply can't get the civil documents out of Nigeria. Happy to submit the originals on interview day - is possible to waive this requirement for us?

It'll be fun, as we have several houses in Houston and we've always planned to settle in Houston (where it doesn't @#@ing snow) . So, there will be time, but there is no such thing as a 'Pho sandwich' la. Which tells me you've yet to go to Cali Deli. Bad Debbie..

Deb I have another idea if NVC will not honor your request, not sure if it's possible, just an idea. Do you know anyone from visa journey who you can trust that has a spouse or fiance traveling to the US in the near future? When my husband had his interview back in July, a friend of mine's husband was having his interview at the same time at the same embassy. Her husband was from Syria he was going thru the Amman embassy because Damascus is closed because if the war,and after several failed attempts for her to send him original documents to Damascus(Amman does electronic processing for the entire NVC stage and therefore originals must be brought to the interview), I carried my friend's documents with me on the plane and hand delivered them to her husband in Amman. She merely mailed me his package via USPS and I put them in my carry on with my own documents. It was a huge relief for she and her husband knowing they wouldn't have to deal with the mail services anymore. Do you know anyone who could bring the documents with them and just mail them to you when they arrive here? Just an idea if all else fails. Good luck.

So since it took that person 2 years to get the package maybe there is hope my husband will get the valentine package I sent him this valentines day I sent it to him 2 years ago. Hang in there Dee you and your hubby will be laughing about all of this in a few months... You are good people with good hearts like I told you before it is okay all the problems are now so the interview will be smooth sailing. You know you are always in my prayers for only the best in your life... You have been such a help to me on my journey... I know God will take care of you.. God Bless and Happy New Year this is the year your hubby comes home...

Awww memlaura you are so sweet. And yes watch that mail pop up some day. Ask Dana and Divine it was her story she told can you believe it 2 years.

Thank you for looking at the absolutely insane unreal and turning it into lemonade. It's quite the fight to do something so simple. But I say if we get done by March 19 (The 1 year mark) we are good.

Thank you for your kindness and prayers and I am always here for you girl.

i have a friend returning back here tomorrow. But a few going in February. I am just waiting for my passport than I will get Visa. Trust me I will be in Nigeria by end of month beginning of next month if I have to get originals they will be delivered directly to my hands.

Thanks for the idea. So many do that and we know why. man Why oh why can't we all be Electronic processing. :)

well, i've picked up a teaching gig at a uni for the spring term, so I'll be in Houston 3 days a week.

I know I know Bad me :bonk:. I know the Pho is the soup. I will get there. But now I don't work. But I will be going to Houston Community College over by the sandwich place. So I will get there.

And since the grandkids don't eat meat seems like a great place to take them for some good eating. And yes come on mover here
