You can calling NVC and/or DOS every single day to inquire! My case completed on a Friday, I was calling both places the very next Monday to inquire about interview dates. Someone should go read the last few questions/answers in the FAQ ;) ;)

whistling.gif (lalalaa) jk....yeah I did after I posted it like umm duh go back to the first post lol.. well just called NVC.....not taking calls as the post above mine says :( and too many recordings when calling DOS...how the heck do I just speak to someone lol...pressed 0 it just got me back to the phone options....ok trying again LOL

Unless DOS changed the phone options, it should be the same as listed on the first post.

K...trying again

its still the same prompts . I dial the number and dnt even wait but just hit 1 and then 0. Been calling DOS/NVC alternating days since case complete. Only on thursday did I call both offices same day DOS morning and NVC at night. Didn't know my mom was listening( I had it on speaker) and when I was through, she asked didnt you just call this office this morning" ?. I said "no, it was the other office I called". I am glad I did that though cos I would have been pissed at myself if I had postponed NVC till Fri only to find out they were closed.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
CR-1 (for Husband):
09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK

N-400: (3 months and 12 days)
Filed N-400 : 2011-06-17
Interview: 2011-09-27
Oath Ceremony: 2011-09-30

IR-5 for Mom Entire process took 5 months exactly
USCIS (22days)
mailed I-130 : 2011-09-30
NOA 1: 2011-10-03 (text & email)
NOA 2: 2011-10-25 (text and email)
NVC: (19 days)
Case entered and # assigned: 2011-11-18
NVC Case COMPLETED: 2011-12-07 ( 43 days from NOA 2 and 65 days from NOA 1)
Interview Date(Lagos): 2012-01- 23 Mom was late for interview
New Interview date: 2012-02-29 : VISA APPROVED

Hey all, I keep getting a busy signal calling today (??). Anyone experiencing same issue?

USCIS
20-Oct-11 - Married
26-Sep-12 - Became US Citizen (I did wait for this to file I-130. I think I should have filed as LPR and upgrade my case later)
3-Oct-12 - I-130 Sent (Fedex)
23-Jan-13 - NOA2 : Interview at field office - APPROVED same day!!!

05.Mar.13: NVC Received - Finally (USCIS made an error and set my file for Adjustment of Status. It took me energy to get it fixed!)
05.Mar.13: Case number/IIN
05.Mar.13: DS-3032 sent
07.Mar.13: AOS bill
07.Mar.13: AOS package sent
08.Mar.13: AOS bill shows PAID
14.Mar.13: DS-3032 accepted
15.Mar.13: IV bill

I was able to get them and sadly my case has not yet arrived to NVC... I was approved on Jan 23rd... 3 weeks and not yet received... pissed off but what can I do?

I would suggest calling up USCIS and requesting the date they mailed out your case, just to know that your case has indeed been sent out.

well... the lawyer sent us some letters witn nvc numbers and told us to follow instructions on the letters sent to them. We are trying to figure out what is next...lol... I thought lawyers were gonna make this easier on us but so far... just RFE´s not gotten is the best they have done for us... :bonk:

this is what we got and this is her email...

"Hi Bryan,

Please the attached fee bills we just received from NVC, and follow the online payment instructions. As soon as you see confirmation of payment for each individual and separate payment (2 payments each that should total $318 per person), please forward to me the Document Cover Sheets (no need to send Receipts)."

honestly... no idea what she means with this. Im supposed to get the numbers then pay? Or do I just pay? :blink:
