No one can "guarantee" all those things. But if you have a valid reason to expedite, then a state representative/congressman/senator can help.

Thanks Saylin, I did try. I sent emails to my senators. I will let you know if that helps. I don't have a specific reason apart from that we are married since Oct 2011 and still not yet together due to all these procedures...

Usually, the previous month still lives on for a few weeks after the new one opens. It does eventually die laughing.gif

That's not really a reason to expedite. Looking at your signature, you only sent your I-130 petition a YEAR after you were married... huh.gif Unless I'm missing something, it was your own fault for waiting that long to send it. You've only been in the immigration process for less than 6 months....

Haha... yes my fault... I did wait to get my citiwzenship to file the I-130... maybe I should have filed still and upgrade when I got my citizenship... opinions were divided.

it doesn't hurt I guess to get a senator support as we go forward.

Ahh, I see. Personally, I probably would have filed right away, then just upgraded once you got your citizenship, so they would at least have your file. But, doesn't really matter in the long run.

And definitely worth a shot for support! Never hurts to try!

Yes. But I haven't got their email. I later found out that it was assigned last Friday (I avoided to call the first day of a month and didn't call Monday, thought they must be busy also). It took 11 days to get a number from the day they received it.
