Arg, just called and they said they are "getting ready to send" a checklist for proof of joint sponsor's US citizenship. Obviously it's in their system, they've reviewed it, how long does it take them to send out the checklist?

If you gave both email addresses to an operator, then you should receive the checklist within a few days.

Have you signed up for EP? If so, you can prepare the checklist response NOW. Get the bar-coded cover sheet for the AOS from the payment portal, get a scanned copy of your joint sponsor's US birth certificate/passport/etc and put it together. Then email it off! No need to wait for the checklist, as long as that's the only thing wrong with the AOS package. I'd suggest calling up NVC again and confirming with a different agent.

okay so I mailed our ds-230 on 1/22/13...how long should I give them before I start calling them to death lol?

What day did it get delivered to NVC?

Thanks Saylin! We are doing EP. I actually asked the operator if I could e-mail a scanned copy of the passport right away, and she said no, I needed to wait until I had a copy of the checklist. I'm waiting to speak with someone else right now...

Operator was wrong :P As long as you know WHAT's wrong, then you can send it.
