It should be okay, don't worry. The purpose of the bar-coded cover sheet is (in my opinion) to quickly recognize the case number and seeing if you've paid the bill already. If you have your case number listed elsewhere, they should be able to match it up, no problems. If the cover letter is the first page and has it listed there, should be easy enough for them ;) Don't despair!

135 days for what? What are you reading?

From NOA2 to case# should be about 10 to 20 days.

Than you are invoiced for AOS once they receive its about 7 to 10 days to accept. Same for the DS-230.

Rlogan just got case complete took 26 days.

So I have no idea where you are getting 135 days.

Just follow step by step the post on this thread. You will be fine.

135 days are indicated in VJ graph : link

I was looking at finishing everything in June and getting very nervous, you've just given me a lot of hope and a brighter perspective!

Just curious, as I already have case complete (!!!!!!!), but I sent in my AOS pack before my IV pack. For those who send the packs together, what "attn:" do you use? Because the IV pack gets "attn: CMR" and the AOS pack gets "attn: CMR AOS"????

I used atten CMR .i figured CMR is the main office then has an AOS office so i used that both for my mom and now for hubby's package.

I swear closer I get to May I feel like just delaying so my husband can get his 10 year green card. So not feeling 3emoval of conditions in 2 years (I know I am thinking to far).

no you are not, I thought the same thing about you when u had the dilemma about submitting your IV docs without the missing docs. I thought it may be worth it if the delay ends up to mean you guys get the 10year thing and not deal with ROC but we still have that itch to get the process moving and fully reconnect with our loved one.

It should say paid within 48 hours. Heck I had that package off the next minute after paying it was a friday and said paid monday bit it was already sent.

 I NEVER waited for PAID b4 i sent out my DS 230 package ( soon as I hit the submit payment button, i was out to the post office)and would not have waited for paid if I was going to send out the AOS seperately. I will say paid by the time the package arrives their office anyway sdo why not gain those two days or so.

I just contacted USCIS and asked to speak/transferred to a Tier 2 and was informed that that option is no longer available. My options are to send an email or leave a message for a Tier 2 to call me back. Has anyone else been told this?

I guess too many of us are bombarding them with requests for tier 2 now LOL. I feared that may happen soon esp when people started reporting the recent increase in reluctance to transfer them to an ISO.

called NVC today and was told our case was completed last January 14, 2013. How long do they usually schedule interview in Manila?

Goodluck January filers

congratulations. the manilla thread will give a better estimate.

I strongly suggest anyone looking for tax sheets soon start submitting them.

I just FINALLY got my 2009 return transcript in the mail and I requested it just a few days shy of (2) MONTHS ago.

But I did the mail version, so maybe as an alternative, DONT mail out for them -_-

Goodluck January filers

Grats! kicking.gif

On average, for most countries, it's usually around 2 months from CC to interview date. You'll probably find out within the next few weeks of your interview date. But since it's country specific, you really need to go to The Philippines regional forum and do some searching.

I just contacted USCIS and asked to speak/transferred to a Tier 2 and was informed that that option is no longer available. My options are to send an email or leave a message for a Tier 2 to call me back. Has anyone else been told this?

It'd be better if you looked in the USCIS sub-forum. This thread is specifically for NVC.

The 2 would be affidavit of support and DS-230, right?

We paid our $88 fee, how long does it usually takes for NVC to request the first package?

Thank you!

Yes, the two packages are AOS and IV. And NVC doesn't request any packages. The bill will show as PAID generally within a few days though. Once it goes through, you can send the package. Some people send it right away, but if there's a chance your payment is rejected, then your case can be slowed down if they receive your package before your payment has been cleared.

This is why I've been reading so much, especially here on VJ, I really want to understand the process and go fast.

VJ processing times currently indicate 135 days for NVC.

Do you feel like this could be a lot faster by being proactive?

I'm not sure I have read enough of other people's experiences to really get a feel for it.

Thank you

135 is on the long side of processing times for NVC. If you check out my spreadsheet linked in my signature and scroll to the bottom, you'll see current times from VJ members. The current average (for all time) is 55 days. So more than half less of that 135 day estimate. If you have the packages ready to go and have no issues (aka checklists), then you can be done with NVC in like 3 weeks.

Wow, that's insane blink.gif I requested 2011 tax transcripts on Wednesday, January 9th, and I received them on Monday, the 14th, so not even a week.

I looked at recent numbers (2012) and it's even shorten on average. But to be safe, with 55 days for NVC and then 1 month for interview, I'm now looking at April!

But I deserve a green card, visa, free trips around the world I swear.

Its only here on VJ helping others that keeps me sane. Well close to sane as I can be. LOL.
