I know this thread has nothing to do with K3 applicants, the K3 sub section doens't have any useful info as K3 is rarely given any longer, I guess I lucked out because hopefully this will reunite me and my husband faster than the CR-1. NVC told me that they mailed it out today, so it's on its way to the consulate! yay!

Does anyone know what packet 4 contains of? do they request more documents in packet4? or is your interview date and medical stuff? I wasn't sure where to post this in order to get answers so I posted it here, I do apologize in advance.

Received the AOS fee and paid it today. Will be shipping it out tomorrow. Hoping they will except the 3032 we emailed them soon so I can send that packet this week as well.

Starting to feel like I am all dressed up and on the door step to the party but I showed up a month early...hahahaha

Hope everyone else is having smooth travels.

I believe K3 applicants have to do something similar to K1s where you need to deal with packet 3. Packet 4 is just the interview letter.

hi good day everyone! we just got an email saying our noa2 is approved. how long can we receive the noa2 hardcopy? and when can we start calling the nvc for our case number? thank u! :)

We got approved on the 16th and our NOA2 hardcopy arrived last saturday (jan 19th), I guess yours should be there in no time as well!

As the FAQ at the beginning of this thread mention, allow a week to your case to get to the NVC and from there start calling every day.

My husband called in today (HA,we are a little impatient! lol) and they don't have our case there yet....so we still gotta wait a little longer....

How long does it take for the AOS to be entered into the system? I mailed it on 1/8/13 and I just called and they said they haven't received it yet but I see by tracking it that it was signed for...so is she meaning that is just hasn't been put in the computer? If this is in the first post of the thread then sorry I really didn't see it....thanks

I'm a few days ahead of you.

Sent "overnight" on Friday, Jan. 4, but since NVC doesn't collect mail on Saturdays, it got there that Monday. AOS was accepted the next week's Wednesday. So, counting the day I sent it and the day it was accepted, 13 days total, accepted on the 8th business day. I'd be expecting your AOS to be approved today (Wednesday) ish. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might have delayed you a little since NVC had Monday off.

Just want to check in. We got our email from NVC yesterday. Our NOA2 was dated December 14, 2012. Our email fro NVC was dated January 22, 2012. So it's taking a bit longer than 30 days it seems. We've paid our AOS invoice online and requested to be contacted via email. I think we may decide to delay providing our AOS a bit. I'm pregnant and due in June. We will be staying here until the baby can get a passport. So I'm not in a big hurry to speed the process along.

Congratulations! My husband and I are both in Spain and with US insurance issues, and flight restrictions, it's best for us to stay put until baby arrives. I hope he gets in before you're due (looks like the timelines are in your favor!). Best of luck!

Congratulations! There are a lot of June babies around here! Are you trying to have her enter the US before birth? I suppose that if she doesn't, you'll have to wait until the baby can get a passport to fly, right? We are staying put here in Spain until the baby is born, but I am slightly concerned that between approval and baby's passport arriving we wont have a lot of wiggle room to enter the US before his visa expires.

I hope your wife is able to get her interview before she's due! Best of luck.

thanks. she'll give birth in vietnam. we just want this whole process to be completed and not have to worry about it anymore before she gives birth. we'll apply for the passport and maybe she can come to the USA a month after her due date. there's 6 months after approval that he can enter the US. that's probably enough time. :)
