It won't matter.

What WILL matter, IMO, is including a cover letter stating what you're doing (adding in additional relationship evidence) and asking that it be added to the casefile. Also include a list of said stuff.

Yes thank you Darnell Debbie reminded me of that! But being reminded twice sure can't hurt! I will make sure I do that!

thanks...so I can put it in a 2 hole filing folder...ummm ok I know what to do...gracias!

I would suggest using paperclips instead of damaging certificates/important documents. I would further suggest using paper clips for what's mandatory for the package, and then put all the evidence into a folder.

Just curious...does anyone know how man people work the phones at NVC? I've gotten "Gus" many times now. I heart him. He is my favorite! "Thumbs up!". Lol

My son's name is Al-Ameen and he calls him "AL" all the time. Cracks me up.

Anyway, just wondering. Has to be a small number as I've gotten Gus about 5 times already.

I suggest something else.

print a letter size page with the title of each civil document in big letters, then a 2nd line with the casefile #, beneficiary name and DOB, petitioner name and DOB, all portrait orientation.

Then fold the paper at a 90 degree angle , put in at a 90 degree angle to the civil document so that the big printed thing is viewable on the right side. Need to punch holes? Punch the holes in the paper you just printed, not the civil docs.

One thing per civil document.

Want to get fancier? Use colored paper (non white) .

I made copies of all my documents/certificates and put them in my packets. Then I placed the originals in an envelope that was slightly bigger than the documents. I printed the contents of the envelope on the envelope itself and two hole punched the top of the envelope. done and done.

My interview is in 19 days!! Do I have to bring to the embassy the most recent tax returns to the interview? Because my husband went to the IRS office and they told him they are still not giving the ones from 2012!! :( :(

Ok!! I'm just worried about it!! What If the consulate denied my visa just for it :(

They wouldn't deny your visa. If anything, they'd put you into AP to give you the chance to send the requested documents in. Put like suggested, bring 2012's W2s and more recent pay stubs. Remember, 2012 tax returns can't be asked for until after the tax deadline in April has passed. You're good to go ;)
