Thanks dear....hopefully when does that review starts. My spouse is not in US these days, so we really cant call and check, as calling from India and considering waiting time there is going to cost a lot...tell me what should i do now??i sent them a mail too a day back

Never. NVC doesn't mail you when they receive documents. The only way to know is by calling NVC and speaking with an operator. Only once the review on the package has begun will the operator see it on their computers.

Did you give over both email addresses when the case number was first assigned? If so and you don't want to call, then you'll either have to wait for checklists by email (if there was something wrong or missing) or wait for your interview letter (which will arrive after a case complete).

yes we did gave our email address and our attorneys too. ok checklists are sent only if there is something wrong or missing??

approximately if all documents are correct and i gave in right civil documents, how soon can a case completes in NVC.

Well, if you have an attorney, have them call then!

Real checklists are only sent if something is missing or incorrect. But there's also a "false checklist" which happens when NVC reviews one package (and typically accepts it) and issues a checklist for the other package.

Probably around 2 weeks or so for packages to be reviewed, and if nothing incorrect/missing, then a case complete.

It's me again with more questions....plz don't hate me for having too many questions, questions just pop up when I sit and think about it, so here it is:

when we got married we only got 1 copy of our marriage certificate, and since we only have 1 I don't feel comfortable with sending the original certificate to the consulate how can we obtain a "Certified" copy? if we were to order another one from the state of California it'll take over 6 weeks so that's not an option at this point as we don't want to waste any time.

to "certify" our marriage certificate what do we have to do is my question here? :) thanks for all your help guys

Thats what a certified copy is. You ordering a certificate and the issuing organization stamps it with their seal and its a certified copy of the original.

I had the same trepidation and had my husband pick up certified copies of our marriage certificate.

So either you order a copy of original and pick up. Or send in original you will get back at interview.

I gather you got married in US, yes?

aaaahhhhh I see, haha that was stupid of me! yes we got married in the states...well the thing is that now another path opened up (k3) and I don't want to send our ONLY copy and be left with none in case something happens and they close it or whatever you never know, immigration can be very unpredictable...I just wanted to have a back up one just in case, I guess I have to call the state of california and see how long it'll take to obtain another one :)

your husband can order at the clerks office - just go and pay.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My attorney is good for nothing...(i don't want him to call NVC, don't want to screw things more) i just hope i get some reply on my mail that i sent them and get a case complete soon.

since we had an attorney thatsy we submitted only 2 packages I864 and IV along with all required documents in original, according to me we didn't have any mistake done. hopefully all goes well.

You can use Skype and pay a very low monthly fee, something like 5 or 6 USD and you can call any USA number and you'll have unlimited minutes. There are monthly plans that cost less but you'll have a limit on how many minutes you can use per month. I plan on doing that when it's time for NVC.

Only those aged 11-18.

Ok thanks. That's what I read but wasn't sure I'm getting it right cause really, I don't understand the logic behind it. Hepatitis B(which I already have) also stated only 18 and under. Why wouldn't they require it if you're over 18? It's important no matter what age you are.

Just because you may think it's important, doesn't mean everyone does. And apparently it's not important to USCIS.

Hi All,

I finally made it to NVC ( Yeah )....Now I finally got my case number and IIN number a couple days ago and when I tried to log in to see if my payment fee has been generated it tells me You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information. Now my question is what is an estimate time that they generate the AOS fee ? And when is the best time for my husband to email off his DS 3032 ?
