That's a great question, aye? EP For a K-3 going to Canada? Haven't read of that, at all. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but I've not read of it.

Since you have an attorney and you've paid a chunk to that attorney, why not badger the attorney to get the K-3 done in Canada?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Darnell, Thanks for the link....I guess due to k3 being rarely given there isn't much I could find on there as to how this process works, I think it works like a k1 visa with the consulate sending you a packet and everything but I'm not sure if they're the ones scheduling the interview or I will be like K1 applicants. I took a look at form DS-156 for non immigrant visas and it looks pretty straight forward...I've been studying so much about the CR-1 that I have no clue how the k3 works and can't find much info anywhere :(

I know I won't be dealing with the paperworks but I just like to know how it works and be on top of it so that the lawyer doesn't slack off! :)

It's me again with more questions....plz don't hate me for having too many questions, questions just pop up when I sit and think about it, so here it is:

when we got married we only got 1 copy of our marriage certificate, and since we only have 1 I don't feel comfortable with sending the original certificate to the consulate how can we obtain a "Certified" copy? if we were to order another one from the state of California it'll take over 6 weeks so that's not an option at this point as we don't want to waste any time.

to "certify" our marriage certificate what do we have to do is my question here? :) thanks for all your help guys

my documents and forms reached NVC on 14 Jan(as per courier tracking details), how soon can i expect any mail from NVC telling they have received my documents...

Never. NVC doesn't mail you when they receive documents. The only way to know is by calling NVC and speaking with an operator. Only once the review on the package has begun will the operator see it on their computers.
