ok so i am filing for my husband from belize but i live in belize with him. i haven't received anything from NVC yet just got my NOA2 last week. you say once we have a case number than we can give them our email and correspond with them like that. but belize is not in the eligible list for electronic processing. so we can just do the ds-3032 through email and the others snail mail?

One of the basic premises in 'Go Fast' mode at NVC,

is for the Petitioner to use a telephone, firstly, calling in to NVC to inquire about or to get the Embassy Casefile #.

Once a NVC TeleOperator has a Embassy Casefile # to actually GIVE the petitioner (again over the telephone)

then

The NVC TeleOperator asks for the email addresses (again, over the telephone) of the Petitioner and the Beneficiary.

Never wait on NVC to send you anything, at this stage, if'n you wish to go fast with NVC.

This is covered in post #1. I invite you to come back to VJ, on a PC connected to the Internet, and read at all post #1 in this topic - taking 3 days for full assimilation, making copious notes, pen to paper.

Good Luck ! Knowledge is Power !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I don't see you here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Log/newusers

So I assume your account isn't activated yet. No worries - but do go through the account activation process, aye?

I know this is topic is not about k3 but here is a twist....Just called NVC for the 2nd time today to see if they have got our I-130 and of course they didn't but guess what? they had our I-129F that was JUST approved on the 10th and they gave me a case number for it, she said she's going to input it into the system and then they're going to send it off to the consulate, this case won't be closed right now because they still obviously don't have my I-130....I am so confused right now, so will this go through? what if the I-130 doesn't get to NVC for another 2 weeks? what going to happen then?? I called my lawyer to ask them but they are closed for the day and have to wait till tomorrow so I turn to you great VJ members, plz advise if you know what's going to happen

of course the I-129F will go through, as NVC does not have the approved I-130.

ok so here is where you lose me, then what happens when they finally receive the I-130?? they will then close it at the consulate level?

nope, not at all.

See, the basis for a K-3, an unapproved I-130, exists for you, at the moment, at NVC.

Sure, you gots an approved i-130, but it's not at NVC at all.

NVC sends it on to the IV unit, within 2 weeks of receiving it at NVC.

The IV Unit will get you on the schedule once you've returned the packet 3 document to the IV Unit.

Now, we've heard of IV units giving the visa applicant the OPTION of cancelling the K-3 interview if it seems emminent that NVC will be finishing up soon - but for now - do what you want, as you have two distinct paths available to you.

i guess the question is is it worth the extra money to save a few weeks?

or does the k3 path completely different and way faster as this point?

okkkk...do they send the packet 3 via email or mail? in other words is EP available for K3 applicants or is it just for Immigrant visas? sorry Darnell I know I am bombarding you with so many questions but my mind can only take so much of this immigration stuff.

Well we were hoping the k3 would get us together sooner than the immigrant visa and it looks that way at the moment, I know if I go through with the k3 I will have to adjust my status once in the states, and what are the timelines for that? how long does it take to adjust my status? several months?
