I sent off the final packets to NVC and I feel like I could spend my day on the toilet!!! I am soooo nervous!!! I just KNOW I made 3680 mistakes and they are just going to throw away my petition because morons shouldn't file for foreigners to come to the States!!!

Lol ok, breathe Julie, breathe.

Everything will be ok! If I screwed up, they'll RFE me, right? Right.

Oh, and.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off: breathe. And breathe again. One more time now. Good. Keep doing that :P

Yes, if something's missing or incorrect, they'll send you a checklist. Don't worry. Focus on hearing case complete very soon :)

I just wish I had a camera on the face of the person who got the book. I think alot of rock, paper, scissors was played. I mean it weighed 20 lbs, cost $156 to ship. 900 pages + 219 pages of original petition (yes I sent that too) + 36 page photo-book + 91 page photo book.

They will gladly case complete to get that off their desk. LOL. No RFE cuz than they got to keep it around. hehe (I am so bad).

Okay Julie fajitas for everybody.

Is it normal for NVC to be alil bit behind in assigning a case number? I started calling since a week after I got my NOA2 and so far its been 19days since then and no Case number.

First time I called they told me to call back in 10 days. Noted and when I called back Last week they said it should be at NVC by this week so to try back again around that time! I call again and this week and they said try back in 2 weeks cause it still wasn't sent to NVC yet.

Then when I called them again today because I couldn't believe it was nearing a month and I still didn't get a case number, someone said it was now at NVC but to call back in 10-20days in regards to the date Jan 7 for it to be entered into the system and get a case number

meh.. :(

I will guess the casefile is still at the local office where it was adjudicated.

Contact an ISO, then ask for the casefile to be transferred immediately to NVC.

Local office policies vary, I'm learning some only send out a stack of casefiles each month to NVC.

Asking for an immediate transfer with an ISO stops that silliness, for your casefile.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Darnell,

I sent an email to both uscis and NVC and asked them to locate my case. Do you know how long they usually take to get back to you? Also the email address you gave me for uscis (nscs-customerconnect) do ISOs answer the emails sent to that address? I didn't ask them to send it to NVC immediately just said plz locate my case, I'm hoping once they locate it they will do that if it's not already on its way there :(

I've no idea WHO replies to those emails, I was given the address in November from a CSR, telling me it was a new address they opened up.

I've had no luck with anything that I've sent to that address. But that doesn't mean squat for you, as you have an approved petition.

I think you can get some results by being an @ss with an ISO, to have them find the casefile and get it out the door to NVC.

How come your case is not at NVC yet? I called NVC and they said they have my case already but it still needs to be loaded into the system. So I have to wait for it to be loaded then I get the case number.

that's exactly why I'm freaking out, you at least know it's there and it'll be a matter of time before they put in it their system, I would have been OKAY with that! but instead I don't know if it's lost somewhere or it's just sitting in a mail room! I hate this system, mailing some papers shouldn't be this hard!

when did yours get there? was it approved by NBC or a local office?
