hi, our situation is the following : my wife(usc) is a bartender and she only filed for tax returns one year out of the last 3...also she's unemplyoedat this time, starting new job probably in January so if we get aprooved there's no way she can file I-864 on her own.Her Dad offered to file as a co sponsor and he makes well over 80000...so my question is , does her status as unemployed at this time have an impact whatsoever?or as long as we have a co sponsor we should be fine..?

thank you for any advice :)

You should be fine. Wife wil either need to backfile her taxes or write a letter explaining why she was not required to file though.
