I got my NOA1 email/text on the 26th (haven't been home to check for the hardcopy) and I'm at California.

My case status is at "Initial Review"

Uhm....it just says the standard "Initial Review" description?

It tells me that it received my petition on December 21st and that I've been mailed a hard copy.

And then it has a few paragraphs of talking about what they do, like background checks and stuff....can I ask why you want to know?

My online status update says something about a change in an alien number or something and it's still under initial review. I think it means that they gave my fiancee an alien number. I haven't received my NOA1 hard copy but I did get an email and text dated 12/20/2012.

Hry haha sorry im asking cuz mine says about the alien registration number changed, and normally it happens before noa2, which i doubts coming soon(but god pls bless me) and i think it may just be a thing everyones getting, mistake, so i was just wondering what u guys r geyting

Yeah, I have seen the question about the changed alien registration number posted on Vj a few times over the last month. I think it's when they assigned a number to your beneficiary.

It WOULD be nice if NOA2 came very soon for both of us since we have the same NOA1 date!
