That is exactly what you said ---Quote Big Dog " Floods are not man made.". Now you have amnesia.

Alright, I know you're a bit slow on the uptake but try and follow along - read it over twice or more times until you get the concept: Just because man makes some floods does not mean that floods are man made events. By and large, floods are natural events. Floods occurred long before man existed which would be impossible if they were actually man made as you would claim. Lakes are not man made but man can make lakes. Snow is not man made but man can make snow. Diamonds are not man made but man can make diamonds. Floods are not man made but man can make floods. Got it?

But that's not even the point in the context of this discussion. See, whether man induced - such as the scheduled, man made flooding that replaces the natural flooding downstream of the dam that was successfully built to stop natural flooding - or natural flooding, there's one thing that we all know: More water will not reduce a flood and will not reduce any damage the flood causes. That is what's important in the context of this discussion. These are simple concepts that are taught in K-1 today and kids actually grasp them. It's not impossible if you try.

I never was hung over sport. You probably should have never started posting but here we are huh

You're the one wiggling in the trap and you're the one who hasnt grasped yet that the dam = the gun and the water = the violence.

You're also the one who can't explain why when security is needed it is someone holding a gun that provides it or why the same people who decide this for themselves declare, like you, with a straight but blank face and from what appears to be a blank mind that the opposite is true when others do it.

So now you try to get the concept. Bad people happen, just like %$@% and liberals happen. They are beshat on us by a bad-humored god. Fact: A good person is required to stop a bad person. Fact: The tool that has been used to do this for a few hundred years now has been a firearm. Fact: It was true during the revolutionary war and it was true when we axed Bin Laden.

You may choose to stick your head anywhere you want on this issue but the location of your head relative to your ####### cavity doesn't change that these are facts. Those who represent your views of fewer guns = more security demonstrate this fact on a daily basis by surrounding themselves and their families with as many guns as possible for their own security.

Their actions do not validate your words, they validate these facts. So remove your roof because a dam broke somewhere else? I believe in bigger and better dams and I believe the more logs or concrete or whatever the dam is made of the better.

I didn't say that, did I?

Still hung over? You should not start posting until you're clear in your head. Provided that's ever the case.

Oh Lord. Let's try it the other way around. Cars are man made. Trains are man made. Airplanes are man made. None of these exist unless man makes them.

Now, man learned to make a lot of stuff that mother nature also makes. Snow, diamonds, lakes, for example. That doesn't mean that these are all man made things. These are naturally occurring things than man can also make. Like floods. By and large, floods are NOT man made. They are natural events that man can make - both inadvertently and purposely. But with very few exceptions, floods are not man made. And without exception, it doesn't take man for a flood to occur. Nature is perfectly capable of making them happen without man.

You're the one wiggling in the trap and you're the one who hasnt grasped yet that the dam = the gun and the water = the violence.

I see. You failed to even grasp the analogy. That explains a lot. Texas does need to address its education system. It's lacking. Done with you.

Yes, you failed to grasp the analogy. Your post makes that pretty clear. The fact that you're laughing about it only re-enforces the validity of my criticism of the Texas education system. You folks over there ought to demand better from governor "Oops, I can't".

"The governor is accountable for education - not those unionized teachers"

I love liberal logic

No credit for you for the water/dam analogy - even though you are a liberal and probably believe that it should be shared with you even though you produced nothing of value to come to it (nor did you grasp it <shakes head>)

I will throw you a bone and give you FULL credit for the rushing water thing you invented

"All of the rushing water around the children and around the person of the politicians who declare emphatically that rushing water does not stop rushing water is not because rushing water can stop rushing water dead in it's tracks"

That's all yours. GREAT analogy!

I still love liberal logic

Education is a state matter. The buck for state matters stops in the governor's office. Now, that may be different in Texas since you have chosen to be governed by "Oops, I can't." Elsewhere in the nation, governors are very much held accountable for the failures of a state's education system. In Texas, the education system may have failed long enough for folks to no longer understand some very basic concepts. Contributions here from some members resident in that state would support that theory.

Mine? I have never said anything even close to that. In fact, I don't even know what it is that you are trying to say in that mumbled statement. And I very much doubt you do either.

Demand the tax dollars that go to the Texas education system back. You've been cheated!

Noted with amusement is your very smart decision to withdraw from the former discussion.

With this in mind perhaps on planet big dog in the nation of big dog in the state of big dog what you say may be true BUT in Texas (and in Florida as well) accountability lies with the teacher and not necessarily with someone who never actually met or knew the recipient of the education.

I know and understand however that it is liberal logic to put the accountability far, far away from the student and those around the student, much as it is liberal logic to put accountability for a shooting 1300 miles away far, far away from the shooter and those around the shooter.

This is why I love liberal logic. Heil! to your german education - you are an oak, a bastion even, of logical thought and your depth of knowledge and keen grasp of facts on issues on which you speak are stunning

You got it all right. You just chose to avoid it. That's pretty funny dude

Yeah but that was some time ago before certain politicians declared war on math and science. Besides, there are always kids that learn despite the failings of education system.

my last 4 were at an isd. lot better run than the public school system. back then there wasn't nclb either.
