Its been 7 months :(

I've recently applied for a tourist visa to visit him in his country , but the Pakistani Embassy in Chicago is taking so so long to approve my visit. I am wondering if they will approve it all.

When my fiance went for his interview in Islamabad the US embassy kept his passport. He has wrote several times and asked for it back so that he could visit me in a third country , but the embassy is ignoring his request.

Im not sure when I can see him again ... but the minutes are like days

I'm very sorry to hear that the embassy, is preventing you from seeing your love. All we have to do is pray and stay positive. also, as one poster said don't count the days because it'll seem like eternity. Hope they'll approve the visa so you can finally see each other very soon.

Last October, and I'll be seeing here again in Sofia in less than three weeks.

Very nice...

It's been 35 days and I am going to see her again in 23 days, which means total 58 days apart. Next trip after that lined up in 60 days again. Hopefuly the trip after that will be at the time of her visa interview. Yeah, it costs money and takes time, but nothing is more important to me than being with my love.

Awww so sweet! wishing your love a successful interview at the embassy.

We'll file the K1 visa for him to come before we can marry. We're gathering the required docs for me to begin the filing. But I'll continue to pray.

It is hard for a Ghanaian to acquire a visitor's visa. Mine tried to get a visitor's visa to see me and was told he had to apply for a fiance visa. We filed the K-1 petition and he is here now. We just got married. Our visa process from filing K-1 to POE was a year. So get your 'patience' hat on, the waiting will be ahile but once you see him over here it will all be worth it!

Keep the hope and faith and do all your research in preparing and filing the K-1 petition.

Hang in there and Good luck to your visa journey!!

I haven't seen my Love since January 7th, 2013 and we will not see each other again until May 25th. This will be the longest we have gone without being together, but we chat each night and skype as well. As someone who was never patient, I have learned a lot and look at each day as one to prepare for the happy ending that WILL come.

I am in the same boot. I was a very impatient person until I started dating my very long distance Prince. I miss him so much and wish I can see him at least every weekend. Thank God for this site that brought all of us love birds together for the emotional support. :)

I celebrated New Year with my Fiance and we spent 2 weeks together. He just returned to the US a week ago. Thanks to Skype and Facetime, we still get to see each other everyday.

LOL, its very sweet and I think we are pretty lucky that way. Many people can see each other for a long time.

I hope everyone gets to see their own love very soon!
