Ahmed had a successful interview this morning! Yipeeeee! The consulate said it would be a week or two until we have visa in hand. Ill post the details later on today after he's had a nap and we have a chance to hash it out. Best of luck to those in line for an interview, and those still waiting on NOA2! Your turn is coming soon :)

In England until visa expired December 2006

We leave England for a stateside Christmas December 17, 2006

Karl goes back to the UK January 7, 2007

I make a scene at the airport January 7, 2007

I head back to the UK to wait it out with him February 9, 2007

Hi Congrats!

I read your post and I just have a few questions. Did they actually say that he should have his visa in hand in 1 to 2 weeks? My fiancee Mohamed had his interview in Casa on September 26th. It has been almost 6 weeks. I am just surprised to hear that they said it would go through that fast. I hope it is true for you.

I think it is standard for them to give one or two weeks as an estimate. It seems that most checks do come back within that time frame, but there are always those that take longer. I don't think they're able to predict ahead of time which checks will take longer than the two week estimate.

I hope your fiance's visa comes through soon!

Ahmed said the lady told him 1-2 weeks, but Im not holding my breath. You may want to email the consulate to see what's up. Although they dont seem to have alot of control over the time-frame for AR, they might be able to tell you what stage its in. Best wishes for you!

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing
