CAN ANYBODY TELLS WHAT DOES ONE CAN DO IF VISA JOURNEY TIMELINE IS OVER, SHOULD CALL TO USCIS OR WAIT FOR 5 MONTHS.

Well VJ is not an official USCIS timeline so they won't care that your VJ timeline is over. You are technically supposed to wait 5 months before you can receive a service request but there is no harm in calling and asking. Worst thing that can happen is say no and u are in the same place u r in now. You should say that ppl on or around your date have been approved and you would like a service request to see if something has happened to your application. I did that and received my service request right away but I was at the 5 month mark.

Yes, don't look at VJ timeline especially since lately it has been rather off. It says they are currently working on 27th of August or something. It is not true, the entire expected date range just jumped by a month ....there is something wrong with that.

But yah, either way usually you can only put in a request after 5 months is up.

The timeline on VJ only gives you an ESTIMATED time you COULD receive an approval. All it is, are guesses based on what has happened with other VJ members. It has nothing to do with what happens at USCIS.
