I crossed just over (2) weeks ago and saw this new various purpose lane.

It apparently had so many purposes that it scrolled through, it was confusing drivers.

I had to stop in the middle of the lane break off to read it all to figure out I wasn't eligible for the lane lol.

Some things I remember seeing were that it was for Enhanced Drivers licenses, mentioned something about electronic passports (which I assume is this new one I have but my husband obv doesn't) a few other things I couldn't remember, and also I THINK it said it was for people turning in visa paperwork.

Has anyone POEd here recently and seen this lane and used it?

It was just so weird and designated for so many things lmao.

I do not remember seeing this last weekend. There was three lanes: Cars, Nexus, Trucks. I do not remember this multi-purpose lane. Maybe something new they are trying out? I have the enhanced driver's license. I do remember when I crossed to go into Canada, it was quicker than normal with the CBP officer. But I don't know if that was just because I was only going for the night or not. When we came back, we just pulled into the closest lane to secondary because I knew we had to go there anyways for them to process my fiance's K1 visa paperwork. And I didn't want to have to cross in front of 18 booths with other cars pulling out. Haha :) So I wasn't really paying attention to be honest.

No road map at the border? Always is tough when you don't do it all the time.

huh?

It was the second lane from the left.

First was Nexus, then the weird lane.

It was hilarious seeing people get into it, read the sign while waiting, then have to shift to the right.

But irritating because I was in the 3rd lane so they kept cutting in my lane >=[

I swear to god I was going to ask.

Got pulled into secondary (like always) and then completely forgot because the lady that went through our paperwork was a little weird and she was starting to scare me.

I ment the lines can get confusing if you don't travel by car much. Especially if you have a Goes card or similar. Just drive through Mexico, the Canadian border is a little far from AZ.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I drive this border all of the time and was confused by the new lane.

It's because the marquee was cycling through about 8 different things that one would be expected to read on the way to choosing a lane... which is pretty impossible.

After sitting in my lane for about 10 minutes, the marquee stopped having so many stipulations and only went down to like 3 of them which was HILARIOUS to me because obviously they realized the confusion they were causing.
