I was gonna ask if it had an 8 track player. :D

Hey I'm only 32 and I've seen and listened to 8 tracks when I was a wee child.

I'm not ancient - just 44, but that sounds about right. I was in high school when I saw the one my dad's friend had. I wasn't allowed to listen to music (except church music and patriotic) so the only thing we had in the house to listen to was an old console record player that my mom could play her albums of church music on. Oh yeah, and classical - my dad played some of that sometimes.

We didn't listen to music in the car much, but I think we just had a radio, no player of any kind.

Well, I'm 37.

And we had a couple of 8 track players when I was a kid. We had a stand alone deck, and one in one of the cars (I think it was the Camaro I bought from my mom as a first car :D ) and we had some long um, wooden case stereo cabinet thingy with built in record player, radio and 8 track player.

I just know we had some great tapes. Heart and Linda Ronstadt, etc.

Oooh, the memories.
