Well I had a long weekend. I came home on Friday night late because the stupid bus didn't show up. So I was stuck waiting for another hour! Saturday I worked in the morning at the second job. Went to Kohl's to get 1 shirt and left with 4 shirts! Saturday night I went into center city and met up with a friend at Mekkah Market to do a little shopping. We then went and had dinner and Starbucks. We ended up walking just over 30 city blocks. It was a good night. Yesterday I slept in until 11:30! For once my husband was up before me begging me to get out of bed. I was supposed to work at 3:30, but I had a migraine and called out. There is no way I was going to be able to work on a sunday, the busiest day of the week, with a migraine! So my husband and I just hung out all night. That's my weekend in a nutshell. Hi girls ! We bought our first clothing set for Baby Hana !! It's seriously the cutest thing out there (until I find something cuter and buy it ). We walked into Costco on Sunday and they had them right there in the front. So of course Ali and I flock to them as if they were food or something and start looking at all the pink ones. We picked out a cute little bambi heart set. Awwwwwwww .... I'm in love.

Last night my brothers came over and we watched "Over the Hedge" ... such a cute movie. You guys should watch it ! It's realllly funny I also made dinner for everyone and we had a really good time. It was a great relaxing weekend.

Nothing is going on here today, yet. Mohamed called the embassy on Saturday and the lady he spoke to was actually nice to him. He asked if they received his packet 3 and if everything was ok with it. She told him that his case is in the system and it appears that everything is fine with his packet 3, alhamdulillah. She suggested that he send an email to the consular to ask about an interview date. I was shocked that someone from the embassy was actually pleasant to him on the phone. The last time he tried to call to ask he got a man who basically told him that since he's not American he didn't want to deal with him. Why do some ppl have to be so blatanly rude?

Did he happen to get her name so that others can ask specifically for her from now on? That's so good to hear!!!!

Well I forgot one very important thing! We got a cat on Friday! Well I think it's more like the cat got us. I have been feeding this cat for a while now. Thursday night while I was sitting outside with it, it walked into the front of the house. Friday I came home and it was out there and as soon as I got to my door it ran into the hallway. I left the door open and walked up to the apartment to put my stuff down the cat came right behind me. So I shut the door to see what it would do. It meowed a little, but then it started looking around the house. It settled in pretty quick. I was going to let it out again, but my husband said not to and to let it stay because it was going to be really cold that night. so I said ok. I think the cat likes our apartment because everytime I go towards the door or window, it starts this low growl and jumps out of my arms and runs under the bed. In fact I think somthing happened to her before we brought her into our house. It runs and hides under the bed whenever it hears someone coming up the stairs and opens the door. But its a big cuddler! It follows us everywhere in the house and when we sit, here it comes up to sit on one of our laps. So anyway, we can't figure out if it's a girl or a boy, so we are having a hard time naming it. I want to name it Mimo but Adil swears it's a girl so he says we should call it Mimi. So we are just calling it Kitty until we get a chance to take it to the vet to get it looked at.

We aren't off on Friday, but we are closed on Saturday! Thank God! But I am going to be working at my second job all morning on Saturday still. We get a floating holiday that I still haven't used that I think I am going to use for our interview next month.

Where did the weekend go? I think mine got stuck in a spreadsheet between a 1 and a 0. I got all of that part of my research data gathered, now I just have to finish filling in the part about how much money each congressperson took from 3 different interest groups.

He was so excited because it was the first time he could buy me something really nice with HIS own money. I love it!

Abdel and I got into an argument almost last night because his nephew wants the new Sony Playstation 3 which is coming out here at $600. I told him I would wait until it's out a few months to buy it, when the price should drop to $250 to $300 because I refuse to pay such a ridiculous price for a game just so a kid can brag and say he is the first to own it. That is just an attitude I think should be discouraged in children. He said he didn't care, if his nephew wanted it, he wanted him to have it but it didn't matter anyway because he doesn't have the money. I'm curious to hear how others feel on this issue.

It's funny because the ring I want costs a little over $600 but I don't see getting it any time soon. Abdel's overtime money is building up, but I'm sure all of that is going to Morocco, not to buy a present for me. I guess I can't complain too much though, I got my renovated bathroom and half-renovated laundry room, and we'll be paying for those for a few more months.

Jackie, I don't exactly pray, but I'll send good karma to your daughter that her biopsy will come out benign.

Mrs. F., congrats on the kitty. Abdel did pretty much the same when he got here with a kitten I had been feeding since about the time I met him, then about a month later we brought in her brother. About 2 weeks or a month ago (I don't keep track of time too well) I also found a dog about to wander into highway traffic so now we have 3 "kids". It's nice starting a family together and helps give us something uniquely ours. Your husband will probably love having a little one that adores him, I know Abdel does. His little female kitty, Sade, won't go to anybody else except him unless she's in the mood to.

Oh, I forgot to add, I can tell it's a Monday. I showed up at a meeting at a golf club conference room 5 minutes late this morning, only to find out I was a week early. I tried to tell the guy scheduling it that I wasn't a morning person so I wanted to do my presentation in the afternoon. Oh well, at least my presentation is ready a week before I need it.

I took a pic yesterday while Kitty was sitting on the bed with Adil, which we have deemed his mothers bed, and we sent it to his family while we were talking on the internet and his mother said, "Get that cat off my bed right now!" Then you see her cracking up over the cam! It was so cute! I love her so much! All the pics I have are on my computer at home. I will have to put some on tonight when I get home from work. Well now that I think about it I will put them on my Photobucket and post them tomorrow from work. (I have the second job tonight)

Yes I have to work! I guess because I am new? haha.

I don't know what's going to happen we're hoping to at least get him a state ID with our marriage certificate and AOS NOA1. Keep your fingers crossed!
