Arghhh off to work. You're right the weekend went by too fast jen! Yesterday hubby surprised me with a new wedding band for my birthday (it's on Friday). He had been saving his money and bought me a really nice thick band with flower designs and little diamonds in set in each of the flower petals. I'll have to see if I can find a picture of it and post it. He was so excited because it was the first time he could buy me something really nice with HIS own money. I love it! We're putting in an application for a house today that I REALLY hope we get and he's doing an application for an Arabic translation job that he should also get. We're really looking forward to having a good week!

Thanks for the well wishes for Jessica. She is only 28 years old and today gets biopsy results. I am consumed with worry for her, she is my heart, my best friend. Not a phone call ends without her saying 'I love you.'

Jackie, may God keep Jessica well, ameen.

It's Monday and that's all I'm gonna say about that. <_<

What's this about Friday's a holiday??? Saturday is Veteran's Day... who's getting Friday off for that???? I doubt I am :(

The person beside me thinks she's in the club today with her radio up way too loud  lucky for me I've got my earpiece to listen to my Arabic CDs. I'm enjoying them.... Anyone else have Instant Immersion Arabic 8 CD Audio Edition?

Jackie, your Jessica is in my prayers (F) . I hope everything goes well at the doctor's today inshallah.

Nothing is going on here today, yet. Mohamed called the embassy on Saturday and the lady he spoke to was actually nice to him. :o He asked if they received his packet 3 and if everything was ok with it. She told him that his case is in the system and it appears that everything is fine with his packet 3, alhamdulillah. She suggested that he send an email to the consular to ask about an interview date. I was shocked that someone from the embassy was actually pleasant to him on the phone. The last time he tried to call to ask he got a man who basically told him that since he's not American he didn't want to deal with him. Why do some ppl have to be so blatanly rude?

Jackie I hope everything goes well. (F)

Because Vet DAy is on SAt we get Friday off. I think many companies use this as a "floating holiday", but I'm glad mine doesn't since my kids don't have school so now I don't have to take a personal day to stay home with them. Working at a university definitely has it's perks in terms of the number of holidays we have! It's almost as good as working for the state!

BTW I just called Usama...loving the whole cellphone thing....but to be honest I can barely understand a word he's saying half the time! Basically I got bits and peices and just kept laughing and saying "I love you honey". Hope I didn't agree to something that I"ll be shocked about later. Ever see that Seinfeld episode where Jerry was out to dinner with a "low talker" and he agreed to wear the puffy pirate shirt on tv and didn't know it? :D I dunno if his cellphone just sucks lemons or if it's just how it is when you talk to Egypt via a cell phone. When he'd call me from a payphone I could always hear him clearly though so I think it's his cell. Maybe I'll get him a nice one for his birthday.
