Regarding police clearance certificate from passport office!

We filed i130 petition and recently we are approved i130 petition.

We came to know that we have to take police clearance certificate from passport office.

Can anyone please help...how to take pcc from local passport office?

Any documents required for to take pcc? Is any appointment needed...

29th January 2012:marriage
9th April 2012: i130 sent.
17th April 2012: NOA1 received...
13th December 2012:NOA2 received......
08th January 2013: Case number assigned by NVC
08th January 2013: paid AOS and IV bills.
28th January 2013: Sent AOS and IV packages to NVC..
20th February 2013: NVC sent checklist about our PCC ....
25th February 2013: We responded to checklist.
26th February 2013:Case completed....
4rth April 2013: Interview date...
Interview result: Approved

06th June 2013 : Reached USA

29th june 2013: Received conditional greencard...

14th March 2015: I-751 package sent to VSC.

18th March 2015: USPS delivered my package.

22 nd September: Approved for Permanent Residence Card.

25th July: NOA1 for N-400.

If you contact anyone from your city who do passport/visa/ticket work they will able to do easily. otherwise you can also download form from http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/downloadEFormStatic (URL may change depends on city). and follow steps.

Are you from Gujarat ? Please share us what you did. I need to also do. Did your application came in NVC ? My I-130 approcal date is Nov 30th but still NVC do not have in system ?

Yesterday ,I went to passport office for an enquiry...one lady youngster in enquiry counter told me that if your address changed from passport address, then u should apply for reissue of passport...I feel it is long process....It is clear in the pcc form that if address changed ,there is a new coloumn to write present address..and the documents to support current address...Is it really necessary to get new passport for the change of address...My passport containing address is my parents....Now after marriage i am staying in father's in law's house...i.e, current address...

Please help...

No, it is not necessary to update address in passport. Do you have address proof for your current resident? Your current resident address must meet with their requirement.

Yes i have 10 months bank statement as address proof!!!but they are asking one year bank statement in website...is it okay...

Five months before I applied for voter id card ....but still i did not received it...

Do you have any old account with ICICI where you have statement history for a year? If ya, then go ahead to update the address, and it wont show when you actually changed the address. I believe, HDFC/other major banks may do the same.

I got my passport before marriage...so my present address is different from passport address...

I took ARN(Application reference number) through online by filling the application..

I went to local passport seva kendra yesterday....with 1.Passport,2.Bank statement(oneyear)as address proof for current address.

But they asked marriage certificate ...I told them that i did not bring....so i was asked to come next day..

so I went with marriage certificate...Today they issued me PCC....

I posted my experience of getting pcc,so it would help to others.
