How so? Please quote or link the relevant statute that would allow for this type of arbitrary deportation.

He's a non citizen...a nothing. He can have his work visa revoked anytime anywhere and be put on the next plane back to banana land.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Work visa's are not revoked arbitrarily. Please don't post if you know jackshit about the process.

You would think you would know better by now.

http://www.visarefusal.com/visa_revocation/ <------ The US State Dept. can do anything it wants with a non US citizen. You might as well be an aardvark from Australia if your here on a work visa because you have about as much rights as that aardvark....as in they have nothing coming.

Visa's are not revoked without a reason. Your link says visa's can be revoked for a reason, which is true. They are not revoked arbitrarily.

Even the link you posted says that:

If your visa has been revoked and you believe that it was done so without valid cause, you should aggressively challenge the decision

Although to be fair, that entire link you posted is referring to the consular proess, which has absolutely nothing to do with someone already in the USA on work visa.

Better start deporting "some" of those "Americans" who want some form of gun control.

That would be most Americans gone. And by most, I mean like 90%. That is the share of the population that favors to either retain the gun controls that exist or to tighten them. Only a small fringe of gun nuts favors fewer gun controls or none at all. And that little, tiny fringe likes to think of itself as "The American People" while being totally out of touch with, well, "The American People".

Todays poll says retain and do better enforcement.

If I threw out two items I'm sure the majority would support it - regulate secondary markets by requiring PPTs through FFLs and increase funding to take back firearms from those currently not elligible to own (many counties do not even try, Alameda County near me has 2 guys doing this...that can't keep up)

Do you have a source for that, or did you just ask 10 people at your local CWP meeting?

I see a trend. Looks like 78% of the people back around 1990 wanted stricter laws. That has fallen 35% since then to 43%. Maybe a few more interviews from our British friend will bring it down even more.

ETA: I assume that anomaly around April of 1999 was related to Columbine.

The 90% referred to a post about Americans who support "some form" of gun control. According to that chart, ~90% of Americans support gun control at least to the level we have now.

There are shifts in attitudes when it comes to gun control. Guess the NRA and other gun nuts have done an effective job convincing ever more Americans that we have sufficient controls on the books and that this issue is merely one of enforcement. This is why the share of people that support retaining existing gun controls has been going up while the share supporting stricter gun controls has gone down. But in the aggregate, that's still 90% of the population favoring gun control at existing or stricter levels while only 10% favor less restrictive gun laws. That's all I was saying and there's the back-up you asked to see.

I don't count on Piers Morgan to change attitudes. But I suspect when people learn that anyone that cannot buy a gun at a regular gun store where a background check must be performed and passed, in many states that same person can just walk across the street to a gun show and purchase all the guns he wants - no background checks required. And if you happen to live in a jurisdiction where there is no gun show available, just go online and get your fix - again, no background check required. I don't think that most Americans would support this idiocy or continue to believe that we have effective controls in place and just need to focus on enforcement. That NRA propaganda needs t be exposed for what it is - a big fat fraud. Then you'll see the numbers change in favor of stricter laws.

Simple math, ain't it?

Right, I get that. But that wasn't the case back in 1990. 78% wanted more gun control. Now that number has fallen to 43%.

Yes it has. Doesn't change the fact the extremist gun nuts are now advocating deporting 90% of Americans for they are in favor of gun control.

I'l settle for the anti gun nuts that are here but were born in Europe for now. Give them a one way ticket to the country of their choice.
