I was wondering if anybody knows how long it would take my fiance to obtain her work permit once we get married in the USA. What website should I use to find out more information on this? Also, what were your experiences like obtaining a work permit? How long does it take?

You get married.

You file AOS together with EAD and AP.

You wait 2-3 months and you will get the EAD/AP combo card

6-9 months from filing you should get the GC, depending where you filed.

There is no "better to apply". Where you live determines where you file, you don't get a choice. CSC is quicker than VSC at the moment.

I think you must have confused this thread for one about ROC.

Everyone filing for AOS sends their paperwork to the Chicago Lockbox address. It does not matter where they live. They will be processed at the NBC without interview, or sent to their local USCIS office and be scheduled for an interview there.
