Biometrics proofs inquiry

Hello All,

Gema who is the beneficiary for the K1 petition does not have a really solid work history that can be backed up on paper.

She came to Manila in 2006 after finishing School for Caregiver and worked on and off for one employer and brief

stints at other jobs but she really doesn't have paperwork supporting this as it was either off the books or too long ago.

I am sure this must be the case for many people coming from the province so how do you explain this?

Also for her address history she only really has her current address for the last year, before that she remembers the city but not

the unit # etc. Her memory is regularly horrible so this does not surprise me lol +) but i still love her.

My concern is if we are vague which seems to the be the only honest approach it will be questioned with an RFE which will be very hard if not impossible to obtain.

Her NBI clearance has her current address but no address history.

Is there another way to get the old address history? Maybe if we went to the Barangay where she was they would have record and could provide proof?

Called US to ask this Q and was basically told to include a letter explaining the situation regarding work history but they were not very helpful and extremely vague. They certainly didn't seem to understand that there are places in the world where employment records do not come easy or exist. .

Be sure to answer the questions with as much information as possible. Do not leave any gaps during the periods requested, or you will get an RFE, or worse. Poor memory is a big red flag. She should be able to remember the postal zone and street name, at least. She may just be embarrassed. Phrases like, "I don't remember" or "I forgot" are ways of avoiding confrontation for Filipinas when they are afraid of the truth.

We managed to get her address history. found some records and then drove around in a taxi and found the address with her. She really just doesn't recall.

....but thank you for insinuating her hiding the truth and stereotyping any entire people...that helped.

Just trying to be helpful. Her "memory" better return before her interview, or she will have a difficult time getting a visa. Getting the petition approved is the easy part. She will be on her own when she is being questioned at the embassy in Manila. Any vague answers or sudden loss of memory about where she used to live, or work, will cause her problems. Hopefully, she can remember enough details about you to get through that part of the interview as well.

Lots of time to wait and practice memorizing the address info, I hope she does well also.
