No. Your money is not considered for the I-134 and even if it was, there is not combining of income with someone else for the I-134 either. The USC petitioner needs to meet the income requirement or have a co-sponsor that meets the requirement for their own household size plus you.

Your money does not count. You could move your money to your US fiance's account in the USA, but that is potentially an issue too as it may be seen as you "paying for the greencard".

If you have a co-sponsor, you should be ok.

Generally NO. In most consulates there is actually NO guidelines other than they need to be satisfied that you will not be a public charge. The handbook for the state department even says that IF they are comfortable that the applicant can gain employment due to special skills and education that the visa CAN be issued. They almost never do this. They NEVER do this in Pakistan. (different consuls have different rules) I HAVE heard of it on rare occasions in London, Vancouver and Sydney. All, incidentally, native English speaking countries.

For you the correct answer is NO. Transferring the money to your fiancee for HER to use as an asset is dangerous in many ways,

1. You ARE giving her the money, it IS in her account, It IS hers. If you guys split up (it happens, read the forums) she can run with everything and there is nothing you can do.

2. Pakistan may not consider cash as an asset. Why? Really, you wonder? Cash can just "show up" as it would in this case and can just as easily "disappear".

3. Pakistan is a high fraud country and will regard any such transfer as paying someone to get you a green card

Your fiancee needs a job paying more than the required minimum or a co-sponsor (if Pakistan accepts co-sponsors)

I was of the understanding that you just have to prove you will not be a public liability for a visa to be issued? If so then your assets, if you can prove them can count towards this? maybe I read it wrong?

The London embassy is an exception. You CAN self-sponsor in London. Almost all other embassies don't allow it.

Oh Ok, thanks for that. I knew I had seen it somewhere, we will be relying on some self sponsorship. Luckily my embassy will be in London.
