hello everyone... i would say that visajourney.com is very helpful.... thank you all for sharing experiences.

i need advice on below.

1. does every sponsor need to follow poverty guideline before completing I-134 (K1 VISA)

2. is IRS transcript sufficient as support financial documents or other documents still needed. if yes, what are they.

Yes, all sponsors must follow the I-134 affidavits of support, with supporting documents. Primary sponsor (using the I-134) will always be the USC petitioner, and if they do not meet criteria, then a separate I-134 will also be submitted as a co sponsor. Tax transcripts are sufficient in proving income, and usually only asked for the most recent year. But I would take 3 years, of tax transcripts, in case they are requested too. You should also provide them with employer letter (stating date of hire, position, salary and such) on company's letterhead. Most recent pay stubs, from sponsor(s). Then if assets are used to meet requirements then may include : title or deed to property with appraised value, insurance policy with the cash option, letter from bank listing deposits from 12 months period (also the current balance and date account was opened), stocks and bonds, savings and so forth.
