Some of you may remember me asking a while back about the difficulties were were likely to encounter for my husband coming here on an extended visit. Well, just wanted to let you all know that we crossed the border in my car yesterday, and while we did have to go in to secondary, they waved us through and he is clear to spend the next six months visiting here while he works on writing his dissertation. Hopefully our visa will be processed in that time and he'll only have to go back for the medical and the interview. I feel so much better knowing I'll be able to see his face every day! Happy holidays to everyone!

That's wonderful. Writing a dissertation sounds like a valid reason for having 6 months free to spend in the US so I am glad it worked out. Merry Christmas and good luck in the New Year.
