Timeline

Hi my vj Family,i need help on here,i and my wife were already planned she will be coming for my intervivew because she only came to Nigeria once and stayed for one month with me and that was when we got married and she has not been able to come since 2011 and we have been together for almost 4 years and we met once for one month but we talk everyday and call but now there is little problem getting to arrise,my wife work as an officer at the prison and she is now been having difficult from getting permission offwork to come for my interview,though we have almost every documents to proof bonafide marriage and front loaded it at nvc already but am little worried for her not been able to come for my interview because she only came to Nigeria once and that might be a problem during the interview.......she called U.S embassy in Washington DC and told them about it they said that no problem but i myself know we are dealing with Lagos,Consulate so this is not about Washington DC but Lagos,Consulate,can anyone please share advice on what we can do....maybe she will need to write or fax embassy here in Nigeria the reason for not been able to make it to Nigeria more than once or maybe call them.....Please can anyone give helpful adivse on what to do

Faxing and emailing the consulate is just going to flag your case and make them scrutinize something they may not have issue with. You should just be prepared to answer the questions like:

1. Why has it been so long your wife hasn't come back.

There you would say why, work issues. Let them know she was trying to come to be with you for interview (don't state just coming for interview shows you are just trying to appease them) and visit friends and family but her job "as a prison officer" she could not take time off.

All you can do is be prepared and confident that what you submitted as evidence shows a Bonafide relationship. I bet you won't be asked much. Think positive, be confident. It is well.

Dwheels76 is correct...Be truthful in your answer, because you may get asked. I, too, had only visited my husband once when we married in 2008, and his interview was in 2011. He was asked the exact question how dwheels76 phrased it, but he was honest in his answer. In the case of the consulate interviews that saying of "honesty is the best policy" is true.

Thanks Dwheels,Erino and Aya......i thought that might be an issue or cause denial,I guess i shouldnt bother then but to tell the truth,thanks for your response guys,keep me in prayers for approval...more helpful information will be highly appreciated
