My spouse is adjusting from B-2,

We have received an interview notice for next month. On the form 797 interview notice, it lists that I must bring Affidavits of Support (unless already submitted). We did submit these, with my pay stubs. On this interview notice though, it has what appears to be a sub-category under the "Affidavits of Support" that lists we must bring 1- Federal Tax return, 2- Letter from Employer 3-Evidence of citizenship. I did not originally submit a letter from my employer with the Affidavits.

Is this notice saying that I do or do not need bring a letter from my employer considering that I have already filed the affidavits of support but it did not originally contain the letter from employer?

Also, one other question:

We filed the I-130 separate from the I-485 as we didn't have much knowledge on the whole process and the time of filing the I-130. The I-130 was approved a month ago. From what I have read, the I-485 interview mostly deals with the relationship being a legitimate one. What is likely to happen in an interview for I-485 where the relationship has already been approved via I-130? Same questions?

Thanks

It's a standard form notice. You don't need a letter from the employer, but bringing a recent paystub is a good idea in case there is any question about whether your incoming is ongoing.

Even though the I-130 has already been approved, the interview may still include questions to verify the validity of your relationship. There will also be questions to ensure that your spouse is not inadmissible (e.g. criminal or immigration fraud issues).

Hey there!

I took everything they had on the list even though more than half of it I also included in my package that I sent back then. But I decided, it is better to have it then them asking for it, and I don't have it and they have it with someone else. I literally took a copy of the whole AOS package that I sent in back then, plus anything that I did not include in my package (photo album for example). I advise you the same. It is better to go with a boatloads of stuff then going there unprepared and them asking for something that you submitted, but don't have it with you, or you thought "they won't ask for that anyway". Good luck with your interview!:)

Thanks,

One thing I am concerned about is that we really don't have that many pictures. Maybe ten of us together that we have printed. I didn't even realize until recently. A few are with my mother though, so that is good. We have alot of cards for the wedding/christmas etc. from family though so I think that willl probably be good to bring. Is there anything else you would recomend other than financial type stuff??
