Hi Dwheels76,

What is "write a letter for unobtainable documents." Can you share what NVC sent ?

Thanks,

NVC sent me nothing my husband tried 3 times to send me his civil documents all failed. So I wrote a letter asking for them to waive the originals to be sent to NVc and could we present to embassy.

Well was told by nice supervisor Gus I needed to write an unobtainable documents letter and state what all has happened and request they case complete us.

Gus says basically when u send such letter they give up waiting and case complete you.

So documents will be ready at interview.

While I was typing this was on hold with NVC and they said Case Complete. I am now waiting on interview.

I got check-list email and I do not understand what to do. I have Paid IV fee and sent documents yesterday. My DS-3032 is also accepted. but I got email with PDF. Last page of PDF mention that they are missing and follow step. Not sure why I am missing DS-3032 ?

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

We are waiting for the form DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) that was previously

sent to the beneficiary. This form tells us how to contact the beneficiary

during the immigrant visa process.

The agent selected by the beneficiary can be the petitioner, another

relative, a friend, an attorney, or a charitable organization, such as a

church or other immigrant assistance organization. Mail delivery is often

unreliable in many parts of the world, so we strongly suggest that the

beneficiary choose someone who has an address in the United States.

It is acceptable that the beneficiary not name an agent and have us

contact him/her directly. If the beneficiary is unable to locate a copy of this

form, he/she may notify the NVC via a letter or an email, which indicates

his/her choice.

Regardless of the beneficiary's choice, the beneficiary must notify us of

his/her choice before we may continue processing this file. In the event

that the beneficiary is under the age of sixteen, it is acceptable to have the

beneficiary's parent or guardian sign the form

That is a false checklist. I got the same email less than an hour after receiving the DS-3032 email acceptance. So disregard that.

I got a checklist for an original birth certificate saying the document we submitted is not original. Its the original certificate issued decades ago and now we need to order another original and send it in, which probably delays us a month. I guess I finally got caught up in the bureaucratic mess that is the NVC. We also got asked for the death certificate original (we had only sent a copy) but that's understandable since I learned later that they needed original and its easy enough to send it in.
