I hope this isn't the meaningful compromise the NRA was talking about. This is like the American Medical Assiociation saying the answer to childhood obesity is feed kids more cheeseburgers, fries , and supersize cokes.

If everybody had a BMI > 30 then no one can be fat.

The gun nuts are everywhere. No one is safe, anywhere. Your best friend may be a gun nut. Your wife may be a gun nut. Your sons best friends father may be a gun nut.

Most of my associates are card carrying liberals and total gun enthusiasts. They all sound like Kip on this issue. They support Obama, unions, and the NRA. Longhaired hippie rednecks. Weirdness.

Let's pretend that all of us on this thread have a clue before they post about something. A felon in any state can get their gun rights back if they go back to court and the judge gives them the go ahead. It's the law.

That law should change. Felons had their chance. Too bad.

Laws can and should be changed. Get the guns out of the hands of people who are obviously irresponsible.

You think your more responsible with a gun than I am correct? And why is that?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I don't have a gun and don't plan on having one. My gun responsibility is irrelevant.

Or, stop electing judges that coddle criminals.

This as well.

According to you gun nuts, I could simply use my vehicle, cause we all know that it's a weapon too!

Lot's of things can be used as a weapon. Say someone walked up behind you with a hammer and bashed in your scull. That hammer would be considered a weapon.

Now what's the most effective weapon? Guns of course or the police wouldn't carry them along with the military.

It's the current law. Probably something they should look at.
