Dear USCIS,

I hope that you are enjoying the most wonderful time of the year with your loved ones.

There's nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas morning and to be alone. I've been waiting for 7 months to start a new happy family like yours. We have waited for a very long time, and we are still waiting....

Guess they will never understand how it feels like being away from your love one for a long time and be in this waiting game...

Hope they experience it too for them to see and know how hard it is...

When TWO HEARTS are meant for each other, NO DISTANCE is TOO FAR... NO TIME is TOO LONG... and NO OTHER LOVE can BREAK THEM APART...

I think you are understandably feeling down and lonely. You are spending your time concentrating on the difficult side of this journey rather than what lies ahead. Every day that passes brings that family closer to you. You should feel lucky to even be able to have a wonderful place such as the USA to bring them to. You could have moved to her country I suppose. When you chose to bring them here you also chose to follow the legal processes to do so. Prior to that you like many others were completely ignorant of what that involved.

Here at Visa Journey those of us that went before you endured all of the things you now must go thru. My own case took 408 days; far more than yours at this point. You will find just as I did that there is and end to this part of the journey. The remainder is a little easier because you are together as you plan the next phases.

USCIS isnt paid to worry about your emotional state. They are there to get the job done. They are working on about 2.5 million cases of which yours is one. You better hope they are all having a good day at work.

I understand that it is my choice, and I should wait as long as they want us to wait... I only thought that my case is a real simple one... I work for Uncle Sam and have an active security clearance...

Being a full time (24x7x356) single dad that makes it a lot more than just an emotional need... I'm not sure why did I get myself and my kids into an open-ended situation like this... I should have known better.... But I wasn't thinking straight.

I sometimes want to just breakdown ... But I can't for my kids.... Marry Christmas everyone...

Hang in there. It's really hard right now, but you'll get through it. We are waiting on a decision at the Embassy after a 221g, so definitely it's a tough Christmas, but there is still a great deal to be thankful for. Hopefully when we are done with this part of the journey we can look back and laugh, because we'll be able to laugh together... IN THE SAME PLACE!! star_smile.gif

For me, I know that being apart has made us appreciate each other so much more. I don't wish anyone any heartache or for anyone to be separated from their loved ones. I know that USCIS is working hard on our cases even though it often doesn't seem like it. I hope that everyone who has waited so long will soon receive word regarding their cases. Merry Christmas everyone!
